Color Lasts
I've had this barbell for a year and a half and it's still BLACK. The threads are perfect; They only come loose when I need to take it out and haven't bent/gotten stuck on on either side. Very high quality all around.

Sturdy, but don't buy for color
I love the length and weight of the bar, but the color came off the tip of the balls with in a week. But it did leave a pretty cool silver to black fade effect on them. I would buy again because of the quality and price.
