I bought this to have a cheap, functioning flat iron at my boyfriend's house so I didn't have to schlep mine back and forth all of the time (and risk forgetting it as I have done in the past!) I have been using flat irons for close to 20 years now, and this one is amazing! I was stunned by how well it worked, so much so that I had to come here to write a review--something I rarely do. I have very coarse, dense, wavy hair, but this iron straightens quickly. Don't let the price tag fool you! The results last longer than the $200 iron I got for Christmas six years ago, although it might also be that one is on its way out and it is no longer functioning at full capacity. I really can't recall. :P One of the reasons I decided on this iron over others on Amazon is that it has the automatic shut-off feature. While I rarely forget to turn off my iron, I have left my old one on at home before. Because of that, some mornings I go into work wondering if I actually did turn it off! It is nice to have the piece of mind knowing that I'm not going to unintentionally burn the place down! I went with the 1-inch iron for two reasons. I have always used a 1-inch. It might take a little longer but gives better precision styling and curling, in my unprofessional opinion. Also, I LOVE the purple! I have not used the sample oil that came with the iron. I appreciate it was included, but right now I'm all about the keratin treatment I discovered at Walmart (It's A 10 Miracle Leave-In Plus Keratin). Highly recommend for hair like mine. I bought this to be my backup iron, but I've decided to swap it out to by my main iron at home and bring my old one to my boyfriend's place. That's how much I love it! One little caveat to my review--I just got this iron and have only used it twice. I have no idea how long it will last. Like many lower-priced products, they don't tend to last as long, but as I mentioned with my $200 iron that is six years old, I have a feeling these things need to be replaced every few years with heavy use anyway. I hope this review helped! Enjoy this great steal. I know I am. :D UPDATE: I originally left this review on December 17, 2018. It is now November 12, 2025. THIS IRON STILL WORKS!!! So there went my theory that it would need to be replaced in a few years. It outlived my $200 iron. Wow.

My 3 daughters and I love this straightener!! It has adjustable heat settings which is great for us as 2 of us have thin hair and 2 have very thick hair. This straightener heats up super fast, and straightens in one swipe, so it takes very little time to straighten my entire head of hair, which is long. I love the thicker plates so I can straighten bigger sections at once, still only using one swipe. It has a nice grip on the handle to assist with squeezing, it’s super nice, and makes it really easy to use!! TIP: We ALWAYS use a heat protection oil on the last 3 inches of our hair to protect it from the straightening process, it really helps to prevent split/dry ends.

I've had this flat iron for 6 years now and I still love it. I use it daily to either smooth out the night before's blowout, completely straighten for a sleek look, or twist for curls! All 3 pics in this review were achieved using this iron. It adds a nice shine and does not damage my hair (when used with proper heat protectant), nor does my hair get stuck and yanked out like a lot of other irons do. The floating plates allow you to get really close to your scalp and not have those weird lines that always seem to get left behind by my previous iron, a 1" Chi. The only cons: 1) Took a star off for temperature control. I don't think it gets up to anywhere near 455 degrees, or at least not anymore. But that's ok, really shouldn't be torching your hair anyway! Also, the dial has numbers on it from 5-25 so you don't really know what exact temperature you're at. 2) Took a star off for traveling since this is a bit longer than others and not dual voltage. Also ok, since I'll just use my Chi for travel, but if they ever make this in a dual voltage version, I'm buying it immediately. Overall, a super effective tool, EXCELLENT value for the price. Would buy again if it ever breaks!

Very good quality! Straightens hair quickly without too much damage. Small enough to travel with but big enough that you don’t need to spend hours using tiny portions of hair. Wide range of temperature control is also a huge plus!

Excellent product! I have a lot of very curly but fine hair, and this flat iron made my hair super shinny! After using, my hair had body, lots of movement and felt so tangle free. Also greatly reduced frizz, made my hair feel sleek. Would recommend to use heat protection with this as it can get very hot (455’d).

I had my old Conair straightener for 20 plus years and it finally decided that heat was no longer an option. I have fine hair but a ton of it and this straightens my hair like I don’t even have a curl in it. Has three different temperatures and I always use the middle heat. Heats up quickly so you don’t have to wait. Handling it is super easy and you don’t have to worry about burning yourself (because we’ve all done it). Salon worthy and definitely worth the value. I highly recommend.

I've been around the block with straighteners over the years, having tried them all I no longer pay any heed to the long litany of descriptors attached to them. Ceramic, ceramic tourmaline, tourmaline ceramic, jade, ruby, pearl and what not!! It's plates that heat up and melt the dead protein on your head. Buy from a reputable brand with a good long warranty and you're all set. Having said that, I have been very impressed with this set, really does heat up in seconds as advertised, does not snag at all (glides through hair so smoothly that the first time I used it I was convinced the plates were defective and were simply letting my hair slide free! :D) I set the heat at 15 and that does the trick for my normal hair, only takes a couple passes to get a satiny smooth look. It's a superb straightener, but an even better curler, I just twirled it through my hair just now so I could add demo pics to this review. It curled the ends of my hair in seconds with even less heat than it took to straighten it, vintage barrel curls here I come!! Available in attractive colours, nice long swiveling cord, long curved barrel that's perfect for curling, auto shut-off and light weight. It has all the features of much more expensive models including a floating plate for a reasonable price. All this plus a 5 year warranty makes this a very good buy in my book.

As long as you deliver to UAE you should mention the voltage to know it doesn’t fit in UAE, instead of waiting 2 weeks then i get surprised, definitely return
