Very Nice Construction, Gives a Premium Look and Feel to the Case
There w2ere a lot of batteries priced 10-15% lower, but my experience with price-leaders hasn't been great. I have many of the 12v sealed lead-acid in various power backup units and I've learned the cheaper the battery the more often it's replaced. And replacement is a pain in a UPS, since it means the UPS is either beeping 24 hours a day or it's failed altogether. This battery was purchased for my smallest APC UPS, which loads the battery through a hinged door in the bottom. The original battery lasted several years and really didn't owe me a thing when it died. I wanted to have the same experience the second time, so I researched brands and YUASA is a very well-known and respected brand.Delivery was very quick, the next day after I ordered, and the fit and finish is smooth and solid. Installation was very quick, although one of the electrodes lays pretty parallel to the case and that made lead attachment a small challenge. The UPS was back in service in under five minutes and the battery seemed to be fully charged. I topped it off anyway before applying the load.I do feel this is worth the 10-15% up-charge over the bargain units, and I'm hopeful I'll get 5-6 years out of it.Another point to make is the old battery is recycled through many local sites, including the Radio Shack stores and the local office supply chains, so you don't need to keep aq stack in the garage or toss these in the dump. Just take them down the street and they'll be made into a new battery.

Genesis NP7-12T 12V 7AH Battery ...
It's the exact battery I need for backup power for an alarm system. It was a much better price than the brick & mortar shop in town. They are suppose to last 5-7 years. Only had this one a few weeks so no telling how long it will last, which is why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. Check back with me in a few years. Update; as of the end of 2020 the battery still worked, unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances the business this was installed at had to move to another location, so after that I have no more information after September of 2020.

Batteries are great.
Batteries are great. I have used them over many years. My problem was with FedEx delivery. They left them on a country road at the end of our lane where anyone could have stopped and taken them. This is about the third problem I have had with FedEx delivery in the last 12 months.

Replacement battery for Home Security System
I needed a replacement back-up battery for our home security system. I received quotes from our monitoring company of $65 for the battery and $75 for the service call. A friend told me check on Amazon as they have just about any battery ever made available and you can watch a U-Tube video to show you how to change out your existing battery safely. Long story short, I went to Amazon and put in the name of the existing battery I needed to replace and sure enough they had one for $24.75 with free shipping. Took about a week to receive the battery because of some availability issues. I watched a 2 minute U-Tube video to safely install and sure enough our security system is working perfectly with the new back up battery. All for about $25 instead of paying about $140 from our monitoring company to replace. Great value, great service. Thank you Amazon.

Yuasa is a Well Known Brand
When I worked for an alarm company we use to try all kinds of brands of batteries. Many brands were garbage and as a serviceman I was able to tell how cheap it was by the lead weight in them.Commercial accounts, under maintenance agreements, always got the best equipment. If we had to go back yearly we were wasting money on replacement equipment and in paying employees wages for free service calls. Yuasa was our number 1 brand. It tends to cost more than the other brands but the life expectancy was the longest. Residential customers got whatever was the flavor of the month per the company. They paid us for the service call and for the battery on a 100-150% markup. Most generic batteries would last 1-3 years whereas some of our Yuasa's were going strong at 5 years. As with most alarm batteries, if your power is out for an extended period of time, be sure to unplug the battery before it dies completely. If you drain it dead it won't recover - the cells will be permanently damaged. Leave the alarm box wide open so you remember to plug the battery back in when the power returns though.PROS:- longevity if not cooked by charging circuit- quality lead acid- not likely to leak or swell up unless cooked by charging circuitCONS:- tend to cost more than other brands

Terminal size
Terminal size didn’t match, and the item can not be returned ( battery). Understand this policy but disappointed that it can’t be returned. Simple to return this type of item !!
