I always wanted a CB and when I recently got an old pick up truck, I figured it was time. This model is super popular so if you are looking for the classic design, this is the one to get. It's high quality and works like a champ with my Wilson 5000. I also got the PA speaker and external Cobra speaker for the complete kit. Comes with a Chrome bracket to mount under your dash. It could have a smarter quick release but instead it has two thumb screws one on each side that keep it attached to the bracket. This lets you tilt it how you like it. It's easy enough to remove for safe keeping and the included mike seems to work just fine. I'm still learning CB but it gets the job done.If you are looking to have some form of communication during a major disaster, then get one of these. You know the cell phones won't work then but your CB sure will and best of all, there is no monthly payment plan.You could easily adapt this for a home base rig.Oh, there are lots of accessories for this unit too because its been around for a while. You can easily change the look (the face) with just about any kind of sticker design, trick it out with LED lights and have lots of fun with it, even do mods!You need to put this one in your shopping cart "10-18"!

The sound is great it looks great. This is my first cobra iv bought i have a road king cb that works great as well. But this cobra just sounds better in comparison the mic for ot does feel a little cheep but it works great as well. It was definitely worth the money.

I had reviewed this CB's details, along with several others. I'd heard stories of knobs falling off, radios flaking out after 2 months, etc. For that reason, I didn't want to buy a cheap piece of junk, so when I first clicked on this CB, it was somewhere at $120.00, (I forget the exact amount). I watched it for 4 weeks. It eventually dropped down to where I could afford it.Firstly, Amazon.com needs a round of applause, seriously guys, well done. You said the CB would arrive March 26th to April 2nd, ... I got it today, Radio arrived 2 1/2 weeks before I expected it. What a very pleasant surprize. I have ordered from Amazon.com before and never had any problems.Secondly the NEW shop (product provider) "Niko Key", were absolutely true to their word. Order shipped out WAY ahead of schedule and the Radio was brand new, (Verified by my Ham Radio Buddy). I really cannot tell you enough good things about it. It is absolutely solid, NOT a piece of junk. The knobs and buttons feel solid, (Like they would last for years). Very good reception and transmission verified. I am SO impressed that I want to order a second unit for the small RV I'll be getting soon.Seriously, this radio "feels like" $200.00, but is currently, to my amazement only $45.00 at last check. I got the RoadPro RP-707 36" Magnet Mount CB Antenna Kit, to go with it. Also NOT expensive. I really did not expect the quality I got, for the price I paid. Set your SWR correctly and you will not have problems. Heck, I am STILL grinning!! Thank you SO much guys!

This is a good solid performer but the mic is not good, muffled and low audio no punch. I switched to the standard black Cobra mic and perfect, strong and clear with good reports. Use a well tuned 4ft fiberglass whip and you’re good to go! 73

I purchased this radio to replace my old Cobra 29 LTD that I used for over 25 years. Most everyone I know uses Cobra radios because they are relatively inexpensive, well built, stylish, and they will work for many, many, years. In addition, these radios...especially the Cobra 25's and 29's can be tuned up quite easily and made to "talk" with really booming audio. The wife and I are full-time RV'ers and I can tell you I wouldn't travel without one. Many times we have been alerted to traffic jams, inclement weather headed our way, smokey the bear reports (Highway Patrol with Radar), and many other situations one would want to know about. Plus, it can be fun just listening to the truckers rant and rave and can keep you company on long trips, not to mention getting directions from town locals for a good spot to eat! I most highly recommend Cobra radios. You can't go wrong with one and they are a good radio to start out on as a hobby.Pete

My husband loves his CB radio. He's a truck driver and took it to the CB shop to have it picked and tuned. he did have to switch out the mic for a sturdy one however, he kept the one that came in the box as a backup. The guy at the CB shop told my husband I did a great job in picking this one out! hope this review helps someone!

By far the best low wattage radio you can get. I bought the chrome because it was cheaper than the standard which is a waste because I stashed it in the overhead console of my W900L. Whenever you buy one of these make sure you do three things.1. Chuck the microphone and get an Astatic2. Purchase an Astatic coaxial cable of the exact length you need. Extra cable loops fuzz up your s/rf3. Get a decent antenna. Avoid fire stick and go with something like a Wilson and effing tune it. Look through my reviews and you'll see what I bought and it required zero tuning.Truck on

cb did not work from the moment I opened the box. Several parts were missing and it was obvious the box had been opened before

El radio en si en vivo es muy bonito , llegó bien empaquetado y trae todos sus accesorios , el micrófono cromado se ve super , es un radio de alcance normal pero cumple , la iluminación en la noche es bastante fuerte en tono azul aunque le pongas en dimmer aún así es mucha la intensidad , soy un novato en este tema de los radios pero a mí parecer si cumple

Well, true Cobra goodness here folks. It's well built, seems to work the way it ought to, feature rich, without being cluttered. They kept that old school cool feel. And chrome. Holy chrome. Shiny is an understatement. Even the mic is chromed.Just get one. Why are you still here?

It’s a good device. It was easy to install in my 2022 Volvo semi. It came with adequate instructions on installation and calibration. At night, the knobs are not lighted.
