Tons of fun I promise!
For sheer entertainment value alone, I’d give this product ten stars. It’s FUN.I bought it for my nieces, but my SIL and I ended up being the ones who actually made the “candy.” (Yes, those are ironic quotations.) we laughed, we bonded. She took pictures, but never sent me any.My 10-year-old niece was the only one who actually attempted to eat the “candy” beyond one bite. I found it simultaneously too sweet and yet flavorless. I believe my exact words were “it tastes like sadness.” SIL was incredulous. “Wait, it’s EDIBLE?” Theoretically, yes it is. If you are 10 or younger, t is apparently the nectar of the gods. We had to wrestle it away from youngest niece lest she slip into a diabetic coma, and she said “aw man!” sadly as I tossed out the finished product. The instructions were clear, the packages came with everything you need minus water, and the “candy” looked like it did on the outside of the box, which almost never happens. I feel like it would have been easy for children, but unfortunately only my SIL and I were interested in actually making them. These kits are seriously so much fun. Please do get them.

Weird but super fun
I found one of these for sale at my local supermarket and had so much fun making the one kit with my husband, that found them here and I ordered this set. It’s awesome. Like weirdly awesome. We’ve only done a couple so far (saving for a rainy day) but so far every one has had really clear directions and some of the flavors have been weird, but tasted good. The kits are well made and I do highly recommend. If you don’t like following directions, don’t order this kit. You do have to be precise to mix the little powders and stuff, so if you’re into things like building ikea bookcases and assembling complicated Lego sets, you will love this kit. I hope whoever makes these comes out with more different kits, because we’ll totally order them all.

FUN CREATIVE WAY TO BOND WITH TWEENS!!!
I used this product to make with my daughter I purchased all of the kits, as my daughter has an aversion to some foods actually it’s an earring disorder. This makes eating fun instead of the usual MEUW!! All of the products taste like sugary gummy worms. Taste is fruity light and pleasant!!

Fun to make, not the best taste.
I've always wanted to make Popin Cookin kits however the ones I've found in stores are significantly marked up in price. These Popin Cookin kits were really affordable and fun to make! Unfortunately the flavor/texture of the food wasn't amazing but what else can you expect from food made of powder and water.

A favorite stocking stuffer
I get a pile of these every year for my child. She's a teenager now, but these are the one thing she always asks for. The kits don't take long, and by now she's done all of the different varieties many times, but it doesn't mean she doesn't love them. It's much cheaper to get a lot of them this way than separately, so I get her enough for the year in winter, and she has them whenever she wants. The instructions are clear even if they are in a different language, and the steps are simple enough. Usually the end result is fairly tasty, although definitely full of artificial candy flavors. The more savory kits become a risk when making them, because some are oddly enjoyable, some aren't bad, and some will create taste nightmares. As a rainy day kit, or something for kids to do with grandparents and relatives, these are great, but I might not look at this as a party activity due to the chance of getting packets mixed up or spills.

kids love this!
I live in NYC and found these in a shop, so i brought a couple with me when i went to visit my nieces and nephews a few months ago. They loved them so i bought this on Amazon because they had more variety than just in the store I shopped at. my niece is 8 and my nephews are 3&7. they all needed assistance with how to follow the instructions, but obviously the 7&8 year olds were more independent and are able to a lot of it on their own. my three year old needed way more assistance, but his favorite one is the gummy bear one, and he had so much fun creating the moulds! i really recommend this - it’s so much fun for the kids and it helps them learn important skills in an exciting way, plus they get to eat it at the end!

8 diy candy making kits
We have become a huge fan of these kits after watching Emmymade on youtube. The kids really enjoy making these adorable food themed candy kits. It's definitely not organic or healthy but still fun for an occasional activity. They actually taste good too!

Fun but gross
The kits are super fun to put together but don’t plan on eating what you make.
