Solid construction and versatile utility
I've had the 8 in 1 compact hub for a few months now, and its been one of the most useful tools I keep in my backpack. Asa college student you never really know what you'll need on any given day, and one feature that has been extremely helpful has been the detachble USB C Cable. Since I have a Pixel 2 with a USB C port, I can detach the cable and use it to charge my phone in a pinch - eliminating the need to carry around more cables in my bag. The cable is held securely in the housing of the hub, and supports USB 3.1 Gen 2 speeds. My only complaint is the sharpness on the edges of the device, but that can be fixed with some sandpaper (or in my case a dremel)Overall a solid device which has proven very reliable!

Not 100W PD (not even 87...)
Overall working great, with one caveat.I bought this model in particular because of its supposed 100W PD, so it would charge my MacBook Pro (87W Apple power adapter) without taking up an extra port. But when really taxing the laptop, I notice the battery draining. I don't think the PD is actually 100W as listed. Not even the 87 needed to properly keep the MacBook Pro fully charged under full load. But under normal use it works great. And this is less of a complaint but more of a suggestion for a future product: this has extra legacy ports that would be better removed to make it smaller or to add more USB A ports. VGA? I doubt most people using USB C computers are still using VGA monitors. Mini SD cards? Not worth the extra space for the slot (or what could be another USB A port) when mini SD cards can just go in a regular SD card adapter. Ethernet? Tower users will already have Ethernet in their tower, and laptop users are probably fine on wifi. Again, on a device that's as big as this thing is and that only has 3 USB A ports, I'd ditch the Ethernet in favor of smaller size or another A.

Great for MacBook Pro
I have used this USB C Hub for several weeks now with my 2017 MacBook Pro. With only 2 USB C ports, I truly needed an adapter that was had all the unique ports that I often use.I've used the USB, USB C, SD card, and headphone ports on the device now, and have been very happy with the results. Everything works well and quickly, though I do find the headphone jack to be a bit of a snug fit. I will be using the VGA adapter soon and look forward to seeing how that works.Overall, a great device and well worth the investment.

That is not a Thunderbolt connector
I didn't read the product description carefully. I chose this device because of the Thunderbolt-looking port which I was hoping to connect my Apple display to. It's not Thunderbolt and doesn't help me with my monitor so I still have to have a dongle for that. Sigh. This dock works as described with my 2018 i9 MBP.

All in one, Looks good
I have recently purchased it for my Mac Pro which as a USB C port. Now I can easily charge my iPhone. Sometimes I have to use Pendrive HDMI and Lan for office works, This pocket dock perfectly to connect all at a time.

Do not keep it plugged for a long time. It gets hot and this can be an issue.

Its OK
I bought this for my 2018 MacBook (12 inch) to setup a work station at the office. The cable that connects the 'dongle' to the laptop is a bit short. I also noticed a lot of times where it over heat and didn't charge the laptop. This forced me to have to unplug the dongle and let it cool off a bit, which wasn't very helpful. At this time, it kept over heating to the point, it was useless so will be returning...wish it worked better!

Exactly what I needed
I liked the size of the hub, and it works very well. I recommend this hub which could also behave as a dock unit. One note - it does not appear to operate with power directly connected to the unit - instead it draws power from the connection to the mac port.
