Good value and it works
So I'd start by comparing this to manufacturers options which cost about 8x as much. This was good value. The metal box part that houses the motor does not have good weather seals on it and it didn't adequately close into the inner door skin so I re-used the old part which was fine. Once correctly fitted, the fully open window sits about 1" higher than it once did (no big deal). Apart from those points, all good and I'd recommend.

Perfect fit, seems to perform well and looks to be as well made as the OEM part
Part arrived fast, fitting was relatively simple having done the drivers side previously. Just remember to set the bolts you remove from the door skin in an order.. so you can put them back the same way. Otherwise you'll have issues.Decent amount of grease applied to the cable so hopefully should last quite a few years! If the VW one can do 16 years hopefully this one can last at least until the car retires.
