These work well for my home studio
I bought these bags for the light stands and backdrop stands in my home studio. They seem to be fairly well made and what I would consider to be medium duty. Yes, they have double zippered pockets, but when mine arrived a couple of them had separated zippers behind the zipper handle which made me suspicious of the zipper quality. I ran the zipper open and then closed and they seemed to be fine after that. I did like others and took 1 gallon double seal freezer bags and filled them about half full of sand (about 6lbs each give or take) before I put them in the pockets. I put them in sideways and then turned them so the seals were facing upward. Once the sand was in the pockets, the zippers take a little fiddling with to get them all the way closed. I ended with bags that weighed just over 12lbs each, which work perfectly for my equipment. I added a Velcro strap to the handle of each bag that I can wrap around the stand posts to keep them in place where I want them. I would imagine you would have to really stuff the pockets full to get them up to 20lbs, but I don't need that kind of weight. Not sure the zippers would hold with that much weight/pressure on them anyway. If you do allot of portable remote shoots, these bags might not be heavy enough to take the beating that on site shoots would dish out. For my studio where they won't get moved around much, they are just what I need.

Great item - will buy again
These are ok. I can't say they are great, and I can't say they are terrible. They hold a decent amount of sand. I've not weighed them to see how accurate they are for amount they hold, but 2 bags holds steady a light stand extended to 7 ft with a very large octobox and Alien Bee strobe just fine. They leak A LOT so do yourself a favor and insert a ziplock bag inside before filling with sand/pebbles/nuts. Easy fix. I will be buying more since they work well. I'll just make sure I use some kind of bag so that I don't get sand all over my trunk!

Perfect for photographers on the go
This a review after receiving it recently with minimal use. Will update this review if things change for the worst.Pros:- good value/price- the double zipper in opposite direction is a very nice touch- the bag itself feels like it can take a lot of use/abuseCons:- none yetWhat I did, instead of putting sand directly into these bags, i put the sand in small ziplock backs and taped the opening shut. This will make sure to keep the sand inside the ziplock bag and prevent the bag from opening. The ziplock bag then goes inside these sandbags. These sandbags feels very durable and seems like it would give enough protection to the ziplock bags on the inside from damage.I've been putting one of these bags at the base of a 7-8 foot light stand with speedlite and umbrella outdoor, and havent had any light stand fall over yet.

Decent sandbags
These sandbags are pretty cheap in price, but you get what you pay for. They are double-zippered, which is good, but one of the zippers on two of the four sandbags was broken, so I had to put the sang in a heavy duty ziplock bag and insert that bag into the sandbag before using it (to prevent sand from going everywhere).Once I did that though, they worked great. They were still worth the money I paid, despite the flaws in the zippers.

AWESOME PRODUCT WILL BE GETTING MORE!!!
These bags are constructed with a doubled-layered 1.5" wide webbed handle for carrying, are extremely huge, and hold a large amount of weight (I won't be running out of sand too soon). Each "pouch" possesses an inner and outer zipper keeping the contents secure and safe. The body, and bulk of each bag, is constructed of Cordura-Style-Nylon, the material used in US Army duffel bags in the 60s - 80s (I had 3). These sandbags definitely hold the weight of my flashes, stands and umbrellas in constant winds (I live on a tropical island), blowing them around. I'll be needing more as I add more (and heavier), lighting for outdoor / on-location "night" shoots. Eventually, I'll upload some of the images taken using the sandbags & light stands, as well as the bags in action mounted to my on-location equipment.

Awesome!! Great value!
Got these to use in back yard to hold my Easy-up in place. Zippers are a little tough at first, but work fine once they're going. Double zipper was a plus. Filled, they hold my easy-up in place in high winds. Would suggest testing in extreme winds, but survived 20-30 mph winds no problem.

I really like these sandbags and you can fill them with also beans or rice. I think they work very well stabilizing my lighting stands. Shipped pretty fast. They are bigger than I thought, but its a good thing.
