Gret working router
Works really well as I have Fibre internet and this router gives me the speed I should have been getting over the past few months on my older router. My older router actually slowed my speed down to about 300Mb/s Where as this router gives me a speed of 960 Mb/s.If your buying a router I would recommend buying this one!

Consider this or the RAX120 even
Let's recognize at least all together, that this router is complete Overkill for one or two people or even three people . Then let's also recognize that the advertised 10.8 GB speed of connectivity in between your computer and the router will never be achieved because of how they come to that number which if you look within the tech specs is rounded up to 11. Which to me is straight out of spinal tap because you would ask why would you make 10.8 and then the engineer would just say that this goes to 11.Netgear always had problems with their releases for these high-end routers, where several firmware updates are released to fix the wi-fi network speeds. I've had this experience on every Nighthawk router I've owned and I buy more routers than I actually need because I pretty much have a spending addiction.I currently own the RAX120, and I upgraded to, well this router and their RAXE500, which is a tri-band router, of which one of the three bands is 6e (not 6 but 6e). I purchased them both because I wanted to see the difference for myself because I didn't understand which one truly is for my scenario. .For this router, of the three bands, two are of the wifi 6, while again their AXE500 trip band is one 5 GHz and one 6E. The difference between Wi-Fi 6 (how your phone sees it) and Wi-Fi 6E is the width of the channel. 6E is the better option for future-proofing your network. There are not a lot of current devices that can take advantage of 6E yet . So of the 20 devices in the home (RAXE advertises 60 devices and this RAX200, 50), two see the 6e and they both Samsung (phone and tablet). The Samsung GalaxyBook does not, Sony XR-75x90j does not nor do their receivers. Nothing on blueair does either. So get this over the raxe500 and even consider the rax120. You're not going to be aggregating your ethernet in your house and doing to isn't going to speed up your internet speed.

Nice Except For Price
My Netgear X6S 4000 router, which I bought in the spring of this year (2020), suddenly started dropping network signal and having to be rebooted many times. It finally died and would not gain internet access no matter what I tried. I am no expert at all at networking, but this was totally unacceptable. I wrote a bad review of this particular router and swore off Netgear altogether. But I researched for a long time and it seems that all the routers are randomly having this problem; so when I saw this one (Nighthawk 12 Stream RAX200 Triband 6 Router etc. etc. ) I fell for the hype and thought what did I have to lose except to gain another expensive brick shaped like a spaceship? It was advertised at that time for $499.00. I didn't have that kind of money to spend on a router unless I used my hard earned Prime rewards and so I went for it. Interestingly, after I got mine for a bit less than half price (which I probably would have paid for a new router anyway because I wanted tri-band and the fan impressed me :O), I saw that sellers were asking $700+ . No router is worth that in my opinion, which I realize as a 74 year old wanna- be granny geek does not count. Also, when I ordered mine, I was supposed to have to wait until mid-November. But I received it in just under two weeks, if I remember correctly. It was fairly easy to set up, but I had to use the web interface to do so, since the Nighthawk app failed me. But it was easy to do. And the router has been perfect; I only have7 devices hooked up; I directly wired my smart tv to it this time( ethernet) as as well as my PC, and I let the Smart Connect feature do its thing. The Nighthawk app works extremely well now and I have updated the firmware when it calls for it. The devices do disappear from view on the app from time to time, but they seem to be there when I am using them so I don't worry about it. I have used the router for nearly a month now, with no problems, but last night the fan started coming on and it happened several times. So I now have it elevated just a bit from the desktop and am hoping that will prevent it from overheating, which may have been the problem with my last router. Time will tell, but if this expensive router fails, I certainly won't be buying another one. Probably should be exercising and reading more anyway....
