Works great. Replacement for an old GE water heater.
Replaced the thermostat on a 20-year-old GE water tank with this one and it was perfect. It's been working for about a year. Just for information, the old thermostat was tripping its circuit breaker and I had to keep resetting the red button on it. And the water was getting very hot. So the thermostat was going bad. This one is working perfectly

This baby saved my water heater for another year at least
It was a surprise purchase. I have no clue how it worked, but it worked instead of water. My electrician water heater expert told me to buy. I accidentally bought this and it ended up being exactly what water heater needed so keep that in mind you never know what may come your way, I don’t know what this is but it worked

It is not a Rheem thermostat, it is a Preferred brand. Won't work on AO Smith heaters
It is not a Rheem thermostat, it is a Protech. On the package it says it will fit an AO Smith heater but it wouldn't work on ours because of the extra ears at the bottom.
