Definitely does the job!
I used this product to put back together the peacock in my backyard. It broke at one of the legs. I was worried that it would not hold up the weight of the peacock and the big rock, but it worked great and it’s still holding up and just spray-painted a little over it. Great product and easy to use. Thank you!

Do the Job
First comment is kind of expensive for the number of rods in the package. It is as advertised but still expensive for what you get. From a use perspective, they work well. I used these braze rods to put together a custom fit stove pipe connection. I was able to use MAPP/Pro gas to get them to melt. Probably not ideal amount of heat, it pretty much just gets the job done although it is hot enough with MAPP/Pro to melt the rods. I was able to get a solid braze without any extra flux so that is a plus. Overall good braze rods, just kind of pricey but if you have a smaller job to complete , does the trick.

Works as advertised but there is a learning curve to using the brazing rods

Use these rods to make fire proof boxes
The only thing I can figure is there must be good runs of these rods and bad runs of these rods. I read some have been able to work these rods with a propane torch. I never got close to getting these rods to met with a mapp gas torch, even when holding a flame directly to the rod. So I used my oxy/acetylene torch. Preheated the base metal until it was glowing and the rod still would not melt. With the base metal glowing and the torch on the rod it finally melted but not into a fine puddle that would run into the gap. It just melted into a clump of molten metal that I could not get to run into the seam. I had zero luck getting these to work.

its not 1/16 inch, its 1/8 inch and hard to melt.
followed instructions, but even when the part is red hot, the rod just doesnt melt. I use map gas and heated for over 15 minutes.......really hard to use. Additionally, its not 1/16 inch, its 1/8 so its harder to melt. i might try crushing and flattening it before feeding it next time....I have over 3 1/2 rods to use. Only needed about a half inch of rod. Please send me the 1/16 rod!!! I am sure they will work much better.

I USED THEM FOR THE INTRICATE FOLD'S,, AND CREASES OF MY EXPANSION-CHAMBER FOR MY SKI-DOO,, IT HAD RUSTED IN THE WORST SPOT'S,, BUT THANKFULLY THESE BRAZING ROD'S FLOWED NICELY INTO THE DEEP CREASES,, AND FOLD'S OF MY EXHAUST,, WITH MINIMAL CLEANING TO THE METAL,, BECAUSE OF THE HARD TO REACH PLACES.

I'm thinking more like 99% Brass is more likely. But They work very well and the flux makes for great adhesion.
