These were cheap but strong metal cables to replace the "fancy" ones that our contractor selected locally that had an "anti-flood" feature that basically cut off the water to both cables without warning after 4 months of use. Suddenly our brand new LG front load washer wasn't getting water so it was producing an error code. I did the typical troubleshooting but nothing mentioned it could be the cables. Thankfully when nothing else fixed it, I kept troubleshooting and thought--perhaps I should make sure the existing cords are actually supplying water correctly. That was the bingo moment but it took me several removals (which would fix the issue very short term) before I realized the cables were trash and needed to be replaced. That is the nearly forty dollar fancy cables didn't last six months.After that I didn't want to trust anything locally (without a ton of reviews) as this not something you mess around with so I ordered these and hoped they would fix the problem for good. They did and have worked flawlessly since. Who says you get what you pay for...in these you get a lot more.

Like many reviewers I have always been worried about my standard rubber lines bursting and flooding my basement and everyone has always said to put braided lines on your washing machines. I finally did some research and purchased this hose set and I am very glad that I did.After inspecting the construction of the hoses I can honestly say they are constructed very well and not cheaply made. I used a pair of large pliers to tighten the hoses to the water pipe and even though I was applying a lot of force to the hose fitting it did not bend, distort, or break. The braiding on the hose is done well and there was no loose ends at all to prick my hands.The most embarrassing thing is that I took 5 years to replace the old hoses when these were so inexpensive, it is cheap flood insurance. ;)

I use these as replacement hoses for commercial washers made from Wascomat. I have a laundromat with over 100+ machines ranging from 25 lb. loads to 80 lb. loads. The original hoses that I had when I first installed the machines were from Goodyear but due to the extreme pressure and constant use, those hoses only last about a few years before leaking or breaking.All the hoses that are useless from Goodyear I have replaced with these steel braided hoses. They do a fine job in creating a perfect seal and do not leak. Obviously, as a business owner I need to have reliable hoses and these provide what I need. Just a precaution though, alot of the times, the gasket is what causes leaks in hoses so I recommend that you check that first. The rubber can degrade over time from water impurities and temperature changes.

There's nothing not to like. These hoses are more durable than rubber alone. The fittings are as leakproof as fittings can be (make sure you use one and only one washer, and tighten enough without over-tightening). Note that washing machine valves close abruptly and can put stress on any hose. No hose is infallible but these are as tough as your'e going to find. If your washing machine (and increasingly, your steam-enabled dryer) is anywhere that water can do damage to the floor (such as a kitchen or bathroom), it's probably worthwhile to pay a little extra to get the extra protection of a stainless braided reinforcement. In fact even if your washer and dryer are in the basement on concrete, it's probably a good idea to mitigate the damage and expense incurred when a hose bursts.

I bought and installed this about a month ago to replace a rubber supply hose. The rubber hose was still working fine but was 3 years old, so I was looking to proactively replace it.The replacement process was trivial, and it was only due to my clumsiness that a little bit of water dripped out of the old hose when removing it. We have run dozens of loads of laundry since the replacement with no issue, and I expect the current hose to not require preventative replacement for a decade.

If you've done your research, you know that the hoses made for washing machines, whether rubber or stainless woven mesh, are all supposed to function the same way and pass certain quality standards (at least here in the USA). I set out to buy a black rubber hose hot/cold set, because locally those are cheaper than the prettier looking stainless woven hose sets. I was pretty surprised to find this set selling for 1/3 of what a rubber hose set would cost locally.The positive reviews from other buyers helped us decide to give these a try. After inspecting abs installing them, we are very happy and impressed with their quality. I would recommend these.

Bought a sediment filter here on Amazon.Before. Our LG washer kept filling slow or showed an error code. I had to remove the hose, pull a micro screen filter out, clean, reinsert. Check for leaks, and tell wife it's fixed.To put this filter online, you need one hose. As expensive as they are in a 2 pack, this saved the day. Good quality. Made well.Now its connected to the washer and filter, and so easy to hold a cup under filter. Turn valve. Clean water line.

I needed a short hose for the overdue periodic draining of sediment from my water heater. So I needed something with a standard female hose connector, something that could withstand hot water, and something insulated enough that I could hold it while I was doing the draining. This worked perfectly, and was the ideal length for the job. It's now rolled up next to the heater to remind me to drain it more often... 🙄
