Overall review and info dump
I was extremely satisfied with my purchase, I received four nodes, one of which already had a very well formed start to a stalk and the other three had developing nodes. For those who are considering buying this:This variety is (green/yellow) and is typically picked for juice over aesthetic qualities due to it being thicker and having more juice. The “sugar cane seeds” on other listings are either a scam or are genuine, but naturally, sugar cane seeds will be extremely hard to germinate or do not grow a copy of the parent plant which is why they’re usually grown from the nodes in the stalk. The juice from sugar cane is rich in minerals, vitamins, antioxidants, and amino acids. This plant is very heat resistant and thrives on it so you don’t have to worry about heat sensitivity that many plants are prone to. Watering this plant is extremely easy, you can either use a bottle irrigation system, buy a moisture meter to time when to water, or just do it the old fashioned way. Lastly, this seller is really good and packs the sugar cane with moist paper in a box eliminating the fear of them drying out, so shipping is good as well.

recieved 4 pieces, all sprouted- May2022 Arizona
I was skeptical, but I decided I'd try anyway. I rec'd a small box that was a bit soggy and pulled out four cane joints, one in which the node had already sprouted and was about six inches long.they felt slimy, about what you'd expect if you had a syrup from sugar and water, which, if you think about it is exactly what it is...but at the time it was gross and had me concerned.I washed them all off and put them in a bowl with water and put them in the windowsill facing the sun outside. First week of that, I dumped the water and cleaned the bowl, put new water in every day. At the end of the first week, didn't look like much was happening.2nd week, I actually put them outside all day long. It's arizona and it was the end of April, so it was in the 90's. I'd bring them inside in the evening because the wildlife always seems to try to eat stuff, but everymorning changed the water and put them back outside. The first picture with all four of them, was at then end of the second week...not sure if it was just because it was week 2, or because they were in direct sun and a bit warm...but definitely started seeing the nodes elongate and rootlets sprouting. Even from the one that had already had a shoot, which I thought was done for.At the end of week three (second photo), the roots are much longer and sprouting side roots. The big shoot one has rootlets that are large, and look like a bunch of ramen noodles. There is one thicker cutting that is taking longer to sprout roots, but the other three are all growing roots and shoots pretty darn well.I've read that after the first month, you should then move them to soil, which is what I plan to do after another week (fourth week) of soaking in water.Be patient, put them out in the sun and warm, and they should sprout for you too.

Acceptable product
The product was acceptable but the canes were very small or short. That said, they are growing well but are years away from any kind of harvest.

Absolute waste of money
I only gave it 3 stars instead of 5 because one of the nodes arrived moldy and with no roots and one just stopped growing. So I did as the seller recommends by placing it in water to start the rooting process but sadly it just got soggy and rotted. 2 of the survivors look great but the 3rd broke the ground surface and hasn't grown anymore since and that was 2 weeks ago.*Edit: After months of growth time following sellers exact instructions all nodes have died. Even the one that I had high hopes for. I had so hoped to edit this review with good news but that's not the case. I even dropped the stars to 1 from 3. What an absolute waste of money. In the event someone tries to make this right I'll update my review although I'm doubtful.*2nd Edit: Still no contact or comment by seller, I am seriously disappointed. I even considered ordering again to give it another go but I really can't afford to lose them again and it be another $40 wasted. My final evaluation? Save your money if this is who you plan to order from.*3rd edit: I decided to give the seller the benefit of doubt and ordered another set of the sugar cane nodes. Terrible mistake, this time they came dried out and appearing to already have started the process of molding. 2 of the nodes have a new shoot on them with no roots and the other 2 have roots with no shoots. Totally disappointed this time, I really hoped for better because of all the flood reviews this seller has for this particular product. See attached pictures of this latest shipment.

3 out of 4 are growing!
Ordered Juky 25th, delivered August 10. Was in transit almost the entire time. No idea why it took so long... Amazon said I could ask for a refund after the 8th. So on the 9th, I did. On the 10th, the seller told me my plants had just been delivered. When they finally arrived, two looked good, one looked questionable, and on was smelly and moldy. I took pictures and asked the seller to advise. Did not hear back from the seller at that point. The two that looked good have improved. The little bud shoot has slightly enlarged and turned green. The questionable one has also improved- the little bud shoot has slightly enlarged. I rinsed off the smelly, moldy root, and planted it separately. It doesn't smell so bad anymore, but it isn't growing.I wish the seller had sent me a replacement, because I would bump my rating up to 5 stars. As it is, I bought 4 viable roots, but only received 3 viable roots (regardless of what the seller sent). I took pictures and sent them to the seller, as requested. No response.
