This sunscreen arrived very quickly and was very well packaged. I do think that there are 5 oz in a 4 oz bottle like the product description says because the bottle definitely felt very full. In a good way. I looked over the list of ingredients and was super pleased to see that all of the ingredients listed are organic! Yay. What a bonus on top of already being reef and marine friendly, non-toxic and biodegradable. By the way, I compared the ingredients against a bottle of Blue Lizard sunscreen that I had been using, and not one of their ingredients are organic, and they are way more expensive then this Beauty by Earth sunscreen. Okay, back to this product; some of the ingredients listed are: Organic Aloe Vera juice, organic safflower seed oil, coconut oil, organic shea butter, organic argon oil, vitamin E, organic green tea extract, etc. The list goes on. The consistency is thick so a little goes a long way after its all rubbed in. That's fine with me, since that means my bottle will last a lot longer. It's also not greasy at all, despite having all of those moisturizing oils in it. I have very sensitive skin and I can't slather just anything on my face without breaking out. I've been using this daily for over a week now without a single blemish. More, my face feels soft and hydrated. Which isn't surprising considering the list of moisturizing ingredients. Another pleasant surprise was the scent. It is a very subtle, delicate scent that is really, really wonderful. No, it's not perfumey. I'm not exaggerating when I say that this the best smelling, sunscreen that I've ever used. And I've used a lot of sunscreen since I haven't gone outside without it in the last 20 years. Even my Khiels sunscreen just smells like boring sunscreen. And isn't' even organic like this one is. Other aspects that I like are that there are no Parabens, nano-particles, Retinyl Palmitate, Chemical fragrance, Paba, Oxybenzone, Toxic chemicals or Phalates. This makes me feel comfortable using it daily on my face and applying it to my children as well. So, all in all, this is literally, the best sunscreen that I have ever used. The fact that it is actually affordable just makes it even better. I will re buy this product, probably forever. I'm so impressed, I'm going to now look into Beauty by Earth's other products.

Update: 2/12/2016 - Around summer 2015 had several heatwaves of 90-100 degrees over the summer. Wasn't able to keep the sunscreen in a temperature controlled environment. As a result the oils separated from the titanium oxide. The sunscreen had a clumpy fraction and a watery/oily fraction. Pretty sad it was ruined and had to chuck it. Bought this sunscreen to replace the generic stuff I have. I feel like I'm reviewing a beer. Smell: Great. Very natural and clean smell that's refreshing. It is low key. I didn't want something that screams "I GOT SUNBLOCK ON!!" I got what I wanted, a sunblock that smells nice. Honestly, my masculinity goes through the roof with this smell. I smell like a classy man who knows what's up. Keeping my skin healthy now and be a suave-looking gentleman later. Texture: This is a lot thicker or more viscous than ordinary sun screen. I found myself dabbing little spots over my skin and then spreading it. My wife disliked the viscosity property, as she is use to putting a good dollop on one spot and spreading it. She said she would use it for her face or small areas, but not arms and legs. It made me look really pale when I spread a lot in one area. I got mixed feelings here. The consistency could be a little thinner to help spreading. I also feel it is great the way it is. Feeling: This feels a lot smoother on the skin. It did not leave my skin tacky or too oily. It feels like I just put on some body lotion, honestly nothing more than that feeling. I enjoyed that the oily feeling dissipates after an hour or so. Ordinary sunblock makes me feel like I'm going to break out in pimples hours afterwards. I just dislike that oily residue that smears on everything after putting on ordinary sunblock. This product I don't notice after an hour. Just yesterday I went walking around beaches and small coastal towns. Got home late and went to bed. There is no oily residue that I'd be worried about getting onto my sheets. Woke up to write this review and my skin feels nice and smooth. Appearance: White lotion in a brown bottle. Picture is accurate. Heck I don't know why I have this section. Would I buy again: Yup. Good stuff. Anything to prevent the associated costs of getting skin cancer. Worth it. Feels good. Smells good. Is good.

Great product!! I am outside a lot, running, at Disney and just enjoying my yard and this has been perfect. I am very fair skinned, red hair and I have had no issue with getting burned. It also doesn’t feel sticky or slimy, smells great and doesn’t leave white residue on your skin like a lot of others do. I highly recommend!

I really, really wanted to like this sunscreen. I know it can be difficult to make a product not loaded with bad chemicals and I appreciate every company who puts effort into creating a product that does not include them. I've played around with this product for over a month. I'm giving it a 3/5 stars because it does work, and I will use it on the rest of my body, but not for the face. I've had much more luck with powdered zinc mixed with jojoba oil and aloe vera. When applied to the face, this product sticks to EVERY single piece of dry skin. I've tried it fresh after exfoliation, and mixed it with many different products. I've tried mixing it with day lotion, night cream, jojoba oil, aloe vera and even foundation. Even when the product blended alright, it effected the consistency of the other products and highlighted every pore, line and dry area of my face. It does the same for the rest of my body also, but that doesn't really matter all that much to me. However, it does prevent burning, so it is doing its job. I will use the rest of the bottle on my neck, arms and chest, but will probably not repurchase unless I stumble on a way of using it on my face without it doing what it's currently doing. I'm just disappointed because I did my research, and this is a very well loved product. My skin is tending toward dry these days, so maybe this would work really well for someone with oily skin who would appreciate a mattifying effect. The search goes on... [Edit] 9/20/15 I've been playing with this still to try to make it work and I stumbled upon something super helpful. So something else I've been trying to replace is deodorant from the drugstore. Zinc helps kill bacteria and I have a huge jar full of the powdered kind. I've been using this as sunscreen mixed with jojoba oil and aloe vera, and it works well and blends in well. When I tried using the powder plain for my armpits, it sort of works but can get messy. Besides the white dust everywhere (which would look really suspicious to the random passerby) it would also crease in my armpits. This makes it effective for half of the day, but by the end of the workday, you know you gotta go home and freshen up. I've been using it like that anyway, and was going to try different DIY recipes online until I found something that worked. Well I was thinking how this formula is pretty thick and sticky and doesn't travel very much when trying to rub it on my face, and decided to try it out as a deodorant alternative. IT WORKS! YAY! It doesn't seem to travel much or crease, it doesn't stick to my clothes (that I'm aware of and I do wear black often) and best of all, it works. I actually love the faint scent that this leaves behind it's one of my favorite things about the product. I would recommend warming it up by rubbing it between your hands before applying it and then rubbing it in a little so it won't transfer on to any clothes. So I bump it up to 4 starts. If anyone tries it out in the same way, let me know how it works for you!

Pros: Great price as a facial sunscreen (cheaper than Neutrogena face sunscreen per ounce) Doesn't make me breakout *** smells great feels moisturizing very natural with great ingredients Eventually rubs in well Gentle enough to use under eyes with no burning or issues! Cons: leaves a slight blue white residue on wheat colored skin (so take a pass on special occasions or when you will be photographed) expensive for a body sunscreen Review: Like all natural physical sunscreens this is hard to rub in, and leaves a whitish, metallic ghostly cast to skin. it is not as bad as most, isn't too oily, hasn't caused breakouts and feels very moisturizing on skin. After using it my skin feels great. It does eventually rub (i dab all over my face). I wear this under Tarte makeup and a facial powder that I made myself and I love how it looks. It can make darker skin look pale. And you need to dab it all over your face and gently rub in otherwise it doesn't spread well. This is true of all natural physical sunscreens and this one is more cosmetically elegant than anyone that I have tried. Not the greatest for special occasions. But for everyday where it is a winner. I live in a California city that often gets to 115 fahrenheit! I needed great protection and so I bought this. So far it has been good, but it hasn't been summer yet. If it fails to protect me I will let you know. In general trust physical sunscreens much more than chemical. Will keep you posted. For special occasions I recommend Chanel liquid (UV Essential), Shiesdo liquid, the more affordable Japanese Biore liquid Aqua rich (for a shimmery glow) and Japanese Biore Perfect face (for a more matte powdery finish).

Wow Wow Wow!!! I have never provided a review on products but I will be doing the sellers of this product a great disservice if I do not express my satisfaction with the product. The Sunscreen worked very well for me and helped me to really mitigate the effect of the Kuwait sun rays on my face. I love the way it feels heavy on the face as it lasts long all day for me. I will buy it again and again. I have even advertised it to many friends, just that they do not appreciate the way it makes the face looking white after application. I wish something could be done to help make it become less visible on the face. It also forms a whitish looking liquid on the face and neck when one sweats; however, these will not make me condemn the product. It is very very effective and safe for my very sensitive facial skin, as I could never use any sunscreen earlier on until I stumbled on this on Amazon site. No regrets. It seems the packaging and the original container has changed design/appearance. I shared one of the tubes with my daughter who is extremely grateful I did. Initially, I had to persuade her to accept my generous offer . Now she cannot do without it, hence my need for buying 3 more tubes. The product is excellent and I will always stick to it. The packaging is very good and delivery was quite fast. Unfortunately, I threw away the card which had the code for the 20% discount offered me for a next purchase after the one I purchased last year. So I had to pay the full price for this last purchase. You guys are doing q good job and I wish you big success in the business. If there are more than 5 stars I would give double.

Went on a trip to El Salvador, which was so hot and sunny, and this is just what I needed. Love that it is natural and has less harsh chemicals than drugstore brands. I've been trying to buy more natural alternatives to everything that I put on my body and I'm glad I found this sunscreen. A little goes a long way. I bragged about it so much that all our other friends and relatives on the trip began using it and left their own sunscreen bottles on the side. When I wore this I did not get sunburned at all and my skin felt great at all times and we were staying at a beach house, so we were out in the sun the entire time. Everybody kept asking for some (about 8 people) and I still had half of the bottle full when we came back home. As other reviews have mentioned, the sunscreen is on the thicker side and you have to rub it in well, but I learned that if you rub it between your hands well and then apply it in small portions, it applies on much smoother and your able to get better coverage, so this didn't really bother me at all. Also, we were in the pool/ beach all day and the water did not wear it off. All I can say is I wish I had found this sooner, it's my new go to sunscreen.

It does have a light scent, but it’s not overbearing & eventually goes away.
