I like the weight of the piece. It does look like it is one of many being produced. The lion is supposed to fend off the evil spirits. I have the piece outdoors in an opening atop the pillar in the front of my house to prevent the birds from making a nest in the space.

My favorite piece in the house. I called him Rey ( meaning KING in Spanish ) and I spoil him by calling him Rio ( meaning River )

I ordered a few of these on a whim as I was looking to make some awards for athletes I coach(the school Is the Lions) I was pleasantly surprised at the quality. They are solid brass and look great! Will order again next year!
