We were disappointed how small the stand was. It still is beautiful it was a gift for my husband for our cabin our theme in nautical. This was the one thing he was excited about and happy we didn't order 2 because of the size. But besides the size it is beautifully made great craftsmenship.

It’s such a beautiful ships wheel I almost hated to use it for my Halloween skeleton pirate display, but it’s perfect!! It’s very well crafted, high-quality, & beautifully finished for any display. I love it!

We hung it on our staircase at our lake home. It looks great!

Great decoration. So well built I would think it was a real ship's wheel! The center is solid brass.

It was crafted better than it looked.

Everyone was thrilled with look and solid, intricate construction. We'll be mounting on a sanded 7/8 inch hardwood dowel peg that will be glued into a mounting post so the wheel can be turned as on a ship.. We need to sand as the interior of the wheel is between 3/4 and 7/8 inches and it was too loose on the 3/4 inch dowel. A 13/16 bolt and a couple washers might also work (but try to find one!), though we were concerned a bolt might wear out the lovely brass center. It you just want the wheel for an ornament, any mounting will do! More than worth the price, and a size perfect for kid's hands.
