Uniden PC687 40-Channel CB Radio with Big Power Meter

Great radio. With a properly tuned antenna it puts out about a 10-mile signal when I'm on the interstate. I like the fact that the SWR meter is built right in to the radio, eliminating the need to buy a separate meter. Great value for what I paid for it.

Easy to install, works well, apart from feedback from my very old and noisy diesel. If only more people used CB i could give a better review.

The PC787 looks amazing. Built in SWR meter. NOAA channels. It beeps when you turn it on and also every time you change channel and I kind of wish I could turn that feature off but its bearable. You can get a radio that performs about as well as this for half the price (with a fewer less features) but having a built in SWR meter for tuning an antenna, the weather stations, all the adjustability bells and whistles, and a look that can only be described as 1970's si-fi is totally worth the extra bucks. Highly recommended.

THIS RADIO IS THE WORST I HAVE EVER OWNED EVERY TIME I TRY TO TALK ON IT ,IT MAKES A BUZZING SOUND I CHANGED THE COAX AND ANTENNA AND HAD THE SWR SET BY A RADIO SHOP.

Got a hot flash to wire a CB into my Jeep, and this fit the bill. I just wish people still used CBs for anything more than trail rides. The instructions are good; it's easy to tune, and looks good. Grounded it to my frame beneath the headliner, and ran power to a fuse splitter in the fusebox. It's come in handy a few times on the highway when encountering sudden traffic; as you can listen in on trucking traffic discussing the jam. The NOAA weather forecasts are rather useful, and you can turn them on in the backround when camping in the desert for that post-apocalyptic analogue feel.

Ive been a radio operator for the better part of 40 plus yrs Uniden does put out good if not great products from time to time. They come out with something exceptional this performance wise will not be one the them This is a very nice looking radio with great features but at days end it wont ever be one of those stand out loud radios Its built very well and will more then likely provide you with good service but when it comes to punch power this one just doesnt have it . But it does have good dollar value 73s Rick

Awsome radio. Large display makes it easy to see. I have to change cgannels a lot with my job, and the large display makes it very easy.
