Beautiful images and good history
This is just one of a series of books that are just wonderful to have. The book itself is about 5" square and about an inch thick. Each page is a wonderfully reproduced image of a significant piece of artwork from the era, including paintings, furniture, architecture, sculpture, etc. Some works are world-renowned while others will be new discoveries to the reader. Each facing page is basically a museum plaque, with the title of the work and the artist along with a brief about the piece and a little history to go with it.They are not the sort of book that one would sit down and read cover to cover, but it is pleasant during a pause to pick up one of these, thumb through it until something catches your eye, and then to read a little about it. They are great to set out for company or handy as a reference if you find yourself talking about art. Any fan or student of great works of art should own this or other books from the series.

Nice little book on Art Nouveau
What I needed was an overview of Art Nouveau and this is exactly what this book does. It's fairly thick and not too bigger size and covers the many different ways that Art Nouveau styling was used. The various subjects covering sculpture, posters, paintings, doors, buildings, lamps, jewellery and much more are each described without becoming boring. These are group into various artists and architects. I have found this very useful and enlightening.

concise
This book is a handy size and covers a lot of information in a concise way. This was "pre-loved" but was in excellent condition but the seller had left the charity shop sticker on it. Parcel arrived in a damaged condition and I was glad contents were ok.

Good little book for the money
Good little book, lots of good quality photographs, and gives a good overview of the period. Images include furniture, metalwork, art, furniture and glassware. However, this is not the book for you if you need specific information about a particular designer or genre.
