Excellent Book
It has been years since I had a book I couldn't put down. This was such a great read, and the story of this man should be made into a movie. He really is an unknown hero. We need more men like him now.

Boyd the Warrior Philosopher
Great book about an uncompromising yet complicated man. His life, his challenges, conflicts, defeats and consequences culminated his philosophy on war, O.O.D.A. and combat maneuverability, changing our own views and reality of conflict.

His theory of E-M is amazing and Col
One of the most interesting insights into the background and development of modern US war planes. It is unusal when a Air Force intellect and aircraft designer would openly admitt and show how enemy aircraft out perform US fighters. His theory of E-M is amazing and Col. Boyd was one of the truly great military minds in US Air Force hisory. He developed the A-10 Warhog,The best combat air support (CAS) aircraft in modern history.I highly recommend this book.

Loved the book
Loved the book. Absolutely loved it.I could just imagine the frustrations he caused his employer and his family. The book makes me wonder - would his ideas got more credence earlier if he was less of a maverick? Or would the system have beaten him down?
