It takes forever to read a bigger size memory card. Ended up buying different brand which is working flawlessly.

I use it for my dashcam
I use the card reader for my dashcam. It works much better and faster than transferring video from the camera to the phone using the wifi of the camera.

I was very hopeful this card reader would allow me to travel with my iPad in place of my laptop
I bought this card reader to travel overseas for 5 weeks with my camera and my iPad in place of my laptop. The goal was to upload images from my camera’s SD card directly to the Photos app on my iPad. It sort of worked - the card reader plugged in easily and read the SD card with no problem but when I selected the images and hit “import,” after importing five or ten images, the process crashed and the card reader auto ejected. I had to upload images in batches of ten which took a very long time since I was shooting 100+ images every day. In the end I was able to upload them all but it was frustrating and anything but smooth and easy. I dont know if the problem was on the iPad side or the card reader side. I dont know if another card reader would have worked any better but the situation was really disappointing.

Love the product! Instructions that came with it are tiny though. Was a real struggle to read the section regarding loading pics to your phone. Those technologically challenged like me need these. :)

Works great, as soon as I plugged in my sd card picture’s showed up and was able to transfer the my iPhone instantly. Would by again.

It will ruin your sd
I spend months trying to recover a Couple's photoshoot I did in Italy after using this adaptor while trying to transfer the photos. Suddenly, the card showed up an error. Don't risk your SD using a cheap brand.

if it doesn't work try this
When I first tried to use this device, it would not work on my ipad nor my iphone. I was trying to use an external usb hard drive. Then I had an idea to try a different device, to see if it was the hard drive or the adapter. It worked on a usb stick and when I swapped the stick for the drive it continued to work. Maybe a glitch in the device as it needs something non-powered to operate before you can install an external hard drive? Anyway, this device will work, hope this helps someone else.
