Pocket torch
Perfect pocket size. The dimmer lights are great for what it’s needed for. Battery lasts well in between charging.

Great Night Pilot Companion (Red Light Variant)
I bought this for use in the cockpit of a plane whilst flying at night. The red light is bright enough to see and the wavelength of the red light allows me to retain my adjusted night vision to be able to fly safely at night under VFR. Worth noting that the red light is provided by a red LED and not a white LED with a red filtered lens. There are three modes; bright, dull and strobe. I was worried that I would be bombarded with flashing light when I activated the switch after not having turned off the light from the strobe setting, but I was pleasantly surprised when I found the torch resets itself to the default setting of bright when turned off for longer than 20 seconds. I have since purchased a backup as the price of £8 is a good deal for this product. It is much better to have a second unit ready to go should the batteries expire at an inconvenient time when busy with more important things like looking for traffic.

Good Value & Effective
'Mini focus tactical flashlight' is a somewhat overblown way to say 'a little torch' but it does what it says on the tin. The build quality and materials are surprisingly good for such an inexpensive item. The torch switches Ito a flashing mode without warning however that can be cancelled with a partial press on the on/off button. The battery is a loose fit so iff one holds the torch vertically it disconnects and the light goes off. I expect that can be rectified with a bit of tin foil. The review is 4 star because for the price it's OK. For a use-case like mine - moving around the house if I have to get up in the night while avoiding bright light - it's good value.

Not perfect but...
First things first, for the price this a well built little flashlight. Id actually rate it 4.5 stars if I could. I own a Celestron astronomy flashlight that I bought for, well erm... astronomy. Its trash and cost four times as much. This modest little red light torch crushes it. Note, the bright mode is quite bright, but the dim setting is perfect for astronomy. Pros. Excellent build quality Even light pattern, ideal for astronomy use Takes both AA and 14500 rechargeable batteries Cons. No battery included A funky switch activation pattern The cons are minor, if your looking for an astronomy flashlight it's right here. Don't pay 20/30 quid for something from an astronomy retailer just because it is branded, this 7 quid torch beats them all.

Stopped working within one month :(
The torch lasted a month of infrequent use. It led a pretty pampered life, which is why I was surprised that it stopped working. No drops, no water, mostly carried around in a pocket by itself. When it worked, it was pretty good, nice bright beam and . However I am not impressed that it just stopped working while on a camping trip. Luckily I had alternative lighting to see me through the rest of the trip. Maybe I'm just unlucky as the return window closed two days before it gave up the ghost. I would save my cash for something more reliable.

Great for camping and trailing.
For the price was great, did not come with batteries or instructions, but needs AA. Has 3 different settings and emitted a strong red light.

Good
Does the job for the price. Quite a narrow beam but as expected for the price. Metal, good quality

Pros and Cons - Versatile!
Here's what I thought: Pros: -Can adjust focus of the beam very easily -Easy to change the battery -Multiple modes -Small size so its easy to fit in any pocket -One of the cheapest red torches available Cons: -The beam is not that bright compared to expensive alternatives Overall, I was very happy with the product but perhaps paying more money for a better alternative would be better for some.

I should have given this a 5 star. Even if the battery seems to wobble inside. But it has a crazy flaw. To turn it on, you push the button. To change between more power, less power and flashing you slightly pus the button. But turning it off will make it switch to the other mode. So, you will definitely get to the point where you need the torch, you push the button to open it and it starts directly with flashing. Oh.. at full power. I’m not an engineer, but I have other flashlights just like this, that start with the lowest setting always, and then you go to higher power and then strobe.. I’m just saying.. and it did had the logo on it, so.. is this on purpose? It has to be a production error. I’m wondering how many just let this pass.. it defeats its purpose..
