OXO Good Grips Silicone Sink Drain Strainer

I’ve had the OXO Good Grips silicone sink strainer for over eight months, and it still looks as good as new! The quality is fantastic—it catches everything while being super easy to clean. I highly recommend it if you want something durable, effective, and long-lasting. This sink strainer is a breeze to use! It stays firmly in place without shifting around, and the suction design makes removal super easy. Plus, it’s lightweight, so you barely notice it’s there—except when it’s doing its job perfectly. I love how hassle-free it is, and I couldn’t be happier!

The OXO Good Grips Silicone Sink Strainer is perfect for me. It moves a little to the side of the opening, but the sink drain opening remains completely covered and no food ever goes down the drain. It is the easiest strainer to clean. There is no need to pick out tiny pieces with my fingers or a paper towel. I previously tried a stainless steel strainer that did not work for me. The food pieces would not tap out and even a paper towel and a brush wouldn’t remove the tiny bits. The stainless steel strainer is very nice looking, but the cleaning process was impossible. I used so many paper towels. No paper towels are ever needed with the OXO. I know this all probably sounds weirdly enthusiastic, but I cannot describe the amount of work the OXO has saved me every day. I don’t have to tap it over and over to try to get the scraps out. I don’t have to tap it on the trash can at all. I just gently pull or push the piece in the middle, and everything goes straight down into the trash can. Perfect!!

This sink drainer-strainer is really super. I read about it on Wirecutter's site, where the reviewer raved about how great it was. I bought it, and the acclaim is real. This strainer is easy to use, easy to clean, and works really well. It is not a stopper, but it does keep food scraps from going down the drain while you clean your dishes. When you finish washing the dishes (or sometimes mid-way thru, depending on how much gunk is on your plates) you take the strainer and tip it upside down into the trash, maybe hitting it against the inside of the trash can for sticky stuff, or using the silicone handle to turn the strainer upside down and get anything left out. You put it back in the sink, and you're ready for more action.

I really like this. The rim matches our sink and blends in. It is easy to clean, I do wish I was slightly more weighted, but it holds down pretty well in a full sink. We haven't noticed anything getting passed it.

Nice looking. Fits into sink basket. Suffers from similar problem as other replacement strainers in that it sits slightly above the sink bottom. This causes a little water to be retained in the sink after most goes down the drain. So one needs to lift it to allow the remaining water to exit, or one can dry the sink with a cloth or sponge.

I’ve had this OXO Good Grips Silicone Sink Strainer for over a year, and it’s still holding up perfectly. The silicone basket forms a nice seal around the drain, catches food scraps really well, and the water still drains smoothly without backing up. It’s super easy to remove and clean — just flip the silicone part inside out and everything comes right out. I also love that it’s dishwasher safe and doesn’t scratch the sink. The stainless steel rim still looks shiny and new, and nothing has loosened or rusted. This is one of those small kitchen tools that just works exactly how it should. This sink drain strainer is the best I have had so far. It catches everything and has a good seal on the drain. It’s easy to pick up out of the sink, because of the middle column, and that column makes the strainer easier to clean: just push it to turn the strainer inside out and dump whatever is there into the trash or compost. It is easily cleaned, and can go in the dishwasher for a more thorough washing. I found that the silicone drain is better at not holding odors: metal mesh drains were harder to clean and got stinky even after rinsing. The best part is that this strainer does not come apart easily. It is well made, works well, and the materials never shred, come apart, or have tiny metal wires sticking up that poke your hands. I can’t tell you how many times I got stabbed by cheap wire strainers when I was picking them up or cleaning them. OXO is a good brand, and this Good Grips silicone strainer is a great addition to their inventory.

OXO never disappoints. Love that these are flush with the bottom of my sink basin- no lip to keep things from making it to the basket. Love the ability to flip it inside out to empty- easy to remove the debris.

Honestly didn’t think I’d feel strongly about a sink strainer, but this ones the best thing since sliced bread. It catches everything, stays put and doesn’t float around like the cheap ones. Soft on the hands, easy to lift out, silicone centre is easy to empty, quick rinse and back in, no mess, no fuss. Build quality is solid and it looks good in the sink. Actually bought a second one to match. It’s one of those small upgrades that makes daily life easier, and now I wouldn’t want to be without them. Simple product, works perfectly, could be a tad cheaper, but it is what it is.

Really nice quality item. I was surprised at how easy it is to clean and how well it fitted our kitchen sink plug hole. When in place it looks like it's part of the sink. The centre pin makes it a doddle to pick up and turn inside out for cleaning. It makes every other sink strainer we've had look like cheap rubbish, which they were compared to this.

Great little product. I kept trying numerous sink strainers that did the job of catching the food bits, but also were very fiddly to lift out and the water couldn’t drain through if there were any food bits in them. This product doesn’t have any of these issues, so easy to empty and keep clean, would highly recommend this!!
