In the time sense install these lights have started to color shift to yellow. They are almost all yellow now it has been a year and 5 months. The fog light like gloom is going to have to go i will not ever buy a ALTOVE product again.

I have purchased many many strings of rgb leds and the adhesive on them were always hit or miss. This strand by Alitove has a foam tape backing which seems to be much stronger then just the normal adhesive glue. This will also give it some insulation if you are planning to put this on metal (I have had other strips short out through the adhesive before). All the leds light up and are displaying the correct colors with the control I tested with. Only time will tell if they are reliable long term, but they feel much better made then many other brands.

DO NOT, DO NOT, DO NOT buy this trash! Very, very poor quality. I made the mistake of installing this strip underneath my hood before making sure they worked. Out of 8 ft of strip only about 18 inches lit up. What's worse is the horrible tape that they used. Definitely not 3M. Took me an hour of scrubbing with Laquer thinner to get it off. Don't waste your money or time! Can't believe Amazon sells this junk.

Cut into three pieces and used as back-lighting in our travel trailer. Worked perfectly! Wife loves this! Like everyone complains about, the adhesive is not great and I used 3M foam tape at each end to keep the strips from falling...so far that has worked well. These are nice and bright and the color seems to be accurate.

I just finished installing these and the very next day after about 2 hours of total use I noticed areas where they are already turning yellow. Because these are downlighting white tile its VERY noticeable. I am very disappointed after spending 14 hours on this project.

They are bright. They have a nice silicone cover. I like that they have additional wires off the end. It allows you to use the left over piece if you don't use the entire roll. Quality control is a little lacking. The double sided tape was coming off the strip as you unrolled it. Out of 5 rolls, I had 2 instances where the double sided foam tape stuck to the backing for a couple inches. Not a huge deal in one application as they were laying flat, facing up. The other application, time will tell. The last problem was poor shrink wrap at the connector. If QC was a little better with better double sided tape, it would get another star.

This product seems much better in quality and brightness than others that I bought. I cost a little more, but you'll be better off. My last strip failed after just one year because water mist corroded the circuit board very easily.
