I was so happy to find these berries ! I used them to make a Jamaican Dish called "Jerk Chicken". They were delivered fresh and smelled incredible. Now, I will have some fresh Allspice to use for the holiday season, I just used my spice mill to grid the berries. The convenience of having a large supply of berries from this bag makes it nice for me to be stocked up for a while and the price was an excellent value. I love It ! I will definitely order again from this company. Good quality and great price.

I really can’t compare these to other brands because this is my first experience using whole berries . These smell so strong and fresh compared to the dried powder I use to buy. I used them to do pickling and I just can’t imagine not using these from now on. What a great flavor they add . I really recommend these and this brand .

Great quality

These dried allspice berries are sort of a "you get what you pay for" type of deal. On one hand, they are - at the time of this review - selling 2 lbs of dried berries for an incredibly low price (approximately $9 for 2 lbs) which a terrific deal on allspice berries. And another great thing is that they are HUGE dried allspice berries. Of course, there are a few small berries, in fact, they are all different sizes, but the majority of these are quite a lot larger than normal.However, the downside is that they aren't very highly scented or flavored. I purchased them for use in handmade tea blends that I create, and although I prefer them to be used whole, I had to grind these to let out as much of what little scent and flavor there was to come out. Even after crushing them, the flavor was of average strength - but I would have really liked for them to smell and taste stronger as I was expecting that they would before they arrived.So overall it is a WONDERFUL deal for the money, however the quality is a bit lower than expected.

I am a little late for the review, but I use all spice berries for simmer pots, but most importantly for thanksgiving turkey brine. Out of the bazillion stores in my city no one had whole berries, just powder. 2 ounces is a perfect amount and this fit the bill. Also came timely and accurately and fills my home with the intoxicating scent that I need in my life.

Beautiful fresh allspice berries. I prefer whole berries as they last & stay fresh so much longer. They are fragrant & taste so good if you lightly toast them before grinding. Absolutely beautiful flavor. Also really nice to put on your stove in a little simmering pot of water w/ cinnamon sticks & other sweet spices. Your house will,smell so good, like someone's been baking all day. I highly recommend this allspice. Whole berries are so much better than flavorless ground spices. Give them a try.

The allspice arrived as scheduled, very well packaged. The product itself is very fresh and a great price, I am making a pimento dram and fresh allspice is a must! I’m betting you couldn’t go wrong with anything you order from Food to Live!

Very good product, great flavor. Good price, just be aware of of shipping cost $33.95. That makes it very expensive and not good value for money.

Grind these up & add to baking, drinks, etc. So fresh & smells so good! A little goes a long way!
