Beautiful book with recipes for health, wellness and beauty
I really, really love this book. Part cookbook, part self care book; there are so many amazing ideas here and recipes for both food and beauty/ health; this book seeks to heal and nourish the whole person.The book steers away from the traditional cookbook which typically move from breakfast to dessert with all the meal types in between; instead the chapters address different physical ailments or needs so you can seek the chapter that speaks to you the most.The chapters include : Calcination burn/ detox; Solution - releasing blockages abs supporting kidneys and adrenals; separation - digestion and gut healing; Conjunction- balancing energies and healing the heart; Fermentation - speaking the truth and protecting the thyroid; Distillation - focusing and calming the mind; and Solidification- strengthening the nervous and immune system. This is followed by chapters on medication and working with crystal.Each chapter - healing area has key food types that are featured - the nervous / immune system for example features mushrooms, turmeric, lemon balm and leafy green vegetables. Each chapter begins with suggested superfoods, herbs and essential oils and ends with ideas for beauty such as eyeliner , food scrub as well as suggested essential oil blends which I loved!The recipes are unique - it stands apart from every book I own with recipes I have never seen before and they are vegetarian with options to make them vegan. In some cases you will have to seek special ingredients but most foods are generally easily sourced. Some recipes are so simple yet delicious - the Jalapeño strawberry salsa reminded me of summer and my favorite margarita without all the alcohol calories and the hot chili weight loss shot is simple and ingenious. The drinks are phenomenal and I found myself making shopping lists around the recipes.The non edible recipes are equally as interesting- lip balm, scrub, masks, toothpaste even candles so you can truly nourish and pamper yourself.In this crazy fast paced life we all have; this book teaches us to slow down and take care of ourselves from the inside out with good natural foods, beauty items and rituals to ground ourselves and be the best we can be.

Unique
I love one of a kind books and this one did not disappoint. The book is filled with unique vegetarian recipes that look really good. Some are keto friendly, most are low carb. This was an absolute joy to read.

Absolutely fantastic cook book! I love it!

Not your everyday cookbook
I truly loved this book. This is not your run of the mill cookbook but a book of magic. It centers around caring for the body mind and soul using the timeless practice of alchemy (how awesome does that sound!). The author does a beautiful job of explaining just what alchemy cooking is but also how it works and the positive effects it has on ones body, bettering your body mind and soul. The book is thoughtfully divided and organized into 7 chapters, working its way through your Chakras (energy engines) the recipes start on the light end with drinks (teas and smoothies, advances to light meals and entrees. Each chapter ends with how to make essential oil, and masks, meditation and even a list of crystals that should be kept nearby while you energize or work on that chakra. Every recipe is plant based (YAY!) which is amazing. Fear not though if that sort of thing isn't your bag, the author does take the time in the beginning to address other diets and easy and thoughtful ways to incorporate them into her recipes.Every recipe uses superfoods which are packed full of all the good stuff and are prepared in a way that makes those benefits readily available to your body so they can get the maximum goodness. The ingredients used in everything are readily available. The most abstract are those for the face masks, essential oils and teas and even those you can find with no problem.I made 3 recipes from this book and 1000% am going to cook my way through this one. There is not one recipe that I was not excited about. The spiralized beets with carmalized onions and feta was divine and will be a staple in my diet for sure! These are complete meals that make you feel great after eating and reward your body for all that it does for you.A huge thank you to the publishers and netgalley for providing me with an advanced copy in exchange for an honest review!

phenomenal pictures, delicious recipes
Even before I tried cooking from this book, I loved flipping through and getting so excited about each recipe in here. Just tried my first recipe (incidentally, the first one in the book) and LOVE it. Here’s hoping the rest are just as good- can’t wait to try them all!
