Pretty colors, good length, worth twice the price?
I conducted a bit of an experiment with two different types (and prices) of Pashminas on Amazon. Initially I'd ordered three of these:78" x 28" Eco-Friendly Bamboo Rayon Soft Solid Pashmina Shawl / Wrap / Stole: one in baby blue, one in teal and one in coral. They were priced at $15.99 each and offered with Amazon Prime. Then I decided what the heck, I'll order the less expensive option that also offers a wide variety of colors, strong reviews and is half the price of the first three:Elegant PASHMINA SCARF WRAP SHAWL STOLE : I ordered silver, which is more of a steel grey and the price was $7.33 and also available through Amazon Prime. All four arrived in the same package today and here are my findings:The less expensive Elegant PASHMINA SCARF WRAP SHAWL STOLE is every bit as nice as the more expensive Eco-Friendly Bamboo Rayon Soft Solid Pashmina Shawl / Wrap / Stole. It doesn't have the sheen that the Bamboo Rayon "Pashminas" have, but that is actually an advantage when considering that they can slip and slide off one's shoulders. It is also the only one of the four with a label that says "Pashmina" -- the authenticity of which is debatable when considering the low price and because all of them were made in China where truth-telling about such things isn't exactly the norm. The weave on this pashmina isn't as tight as the other three, but it's still plenty nice enough. The advantages of the more expensive Bamboo Rayon are only threefold: the colors are prettier with the aforementioned sheen, the weave is tighter and they are 6" longer. I like a longer Pashmina and in fact have one from World Market that's perfect and over 84" long. It drapes beautifully, but it was $30.So, if you're trying to decide between the less expensive Elegant PASHMINA SCARF WRAP SHAWL STOLE at $7.33 or the Eco-Friendly Bamboo Rayon Soft Solid Pashmina Shawl / Wrap / Stole at $15.99, the good news is you can't go wrong with either. But if you can find a color you like in the less expensive one and don't mind that it's a bit shorter, then I'd suggest going for it and saving yourself a bit of money (or perhaps buy two!).

Nice shawl for the price
My last shawl was a 100% black cashmere one from the Pashmina store. Had it for several years before losing it on a cruise ship and never replaced it although I wore it most everywhere. Well, I now have a wedding to attend this weekend and I needed a shawl fast to cover my shoulders during the ceremony. I was a bit wary about purchasing anything less then what I had owned before and knowing that it would get a lot of use from me, it was a really tough decision not to splurge on a new cashmere wrap - however - I'm really satisfied with my decision to go with this wrap instead (I needed the extra $$$ for an appropriate wedding gift!)For the price, this is a very nice wrap indeed. I think some of the complaints about it being threadbare must either be the result of a defective product having been received or perhaps a bit of exaggeration. For sure, this is a thin scarf but it possesses a nice weight and beautiful drape. Some light will pass through the material if held up to the light but wrapped around your shoulders it is very much opaque. The fabric has a slight sheen to it, much like you would expect to see in a silk blend, which makes this a bit more appropriate for formal wear. I did not note any quality control issues; no holes, tears, snags or unevenness. In a pinch, I feel this was an excellent buy and when I do get around to replacing my old cashmere wrap, I'll still keep this one in my wardrobe for formal wear (again, the slight sheen and nice drape makes it more appropriate in this regard) and for sharing with friends.

Don’t dry in dryer
It was beautiful, amazing color until I dried it in the dryer. So sad. Maybe the company will send me another one. It matched the outfits in my capsule wardrobe.

Worth much more than what it costs!
I ordered 2 of these (one blue and one black) to take on a European cruise in April of this year. They are beautiful and very very soft. I would not have minded if they had been just a little bit bigger so when worn as a shawl (as opposed to just wearing around my neck) they would have covered me just a little more. It really is a generous size in the length, it is just the width I would have liked a little wider so that it covered my arms a little more. This of course would be different on everyone depending on your height and upper body size. (I am 5'6 and wear XL blouses / shirts, if that helps you). Wanting it wider is simply my preference. You really can not go wrong in buying this item. Is it like cashmere? No, of course not, but for the price you will be getting a very lovely (and versatile) shawl, so you may want to get more than one color. Guess I should mention that I actually have not got to wear it yet (sadly, we had to cancel our cruise due to some health concerns for my hubby..maybe next year!), so not totally sure how it will be in different temperatures. I would think due to the weight of it (which is very light) if you tend to get hot easily it will be just perfect for that cooler summer night, but maybe not quite heavy enough for you gals who are always cold.

Not really the right colour
The shawl itself is a good size and pretty good quality. However I ordered Coral colour, and although the shawl was labelled as Coral, it is more red. Returned easily enough though.Although nice, just not right.

Pashmina
Got this for a recent wedding. Finished off outfit perfectly. Too warm for a jacket but needed something to cover bare arms. Much nicer shade than described...more a rose gold shade. Delighted and arrived promptly

Very happy with the shawl. The colour is a vibrant blue which matched my outfit beautifully. I would recommend this shawl to anyone, and the choice of colours is amazing.
