Normally I would not write a review for a product that already has lots of positive reviews. I just don't see the point of repeating the same stuff that's been said. However, apparently there is some sort of competition going on between scales. About a month ago I decided it was time for a new scale. I searched on Amazon and the one that came up right away had about 1200 positive comments. It was not too expensive so I ordered it. I don't really remember the brand but if you do a search you should find it easily. At first I was satisfied and then things went downhill. First of all the sellers kept contacting me via email about writing a review. I really don't like to be pushed to do that. If I want to write a review I will, and I am not fond of getting unsolicited emails. The second thing was that the scale kept reading the same thing every morning. I discovered through trial and error that it would read the same thing as the day before unless I got on first carrying something heavy and then got off and reweighed myself without the heavy objects. Kind of annoying and inconvenient. This went on for a few days. I recalibrated, moved it to different rooms, etc. Then I decided to check the Amazon feedback to find out if anyone else experienced the same thing. I found that in addition to all the positive reviews there were quite a few (around 300) negative reviews. I hadn't really noticed those when I made the purchase. So I did more research and ordered this scale. I have had it about a week and it works great. I believe it is accurate (I now have 3 scales to do a comparison if you count my original scale and the two I purchased). I like that it gives you the previous reading. They are both the same price approximately but this one seems to be a better quality. It is slightly smaller and I think it's better looking, but more importantly it's accurate as far as I can tell.

I had a Health-O-Meter for years that never worked right. I tolerated frequent errors; randomly displaying "E" and then shutting off, shutting itself off before displaying my weight, displaying a low battery signal with brand new batteries, etc. Then it finally just died for no apparent reason and I was glad for the excuse to finally replace the stupid thing. But I've found that scales and thermometers are two items that you really need to get in quality form or else they can be inconsistent and inaccurate. So I looked around Amazon at a lot of different models and read a ton of reviews. I finally chose this model and bought it purely on the high reviewer rating and the fairly consistent positive reviews.I made sure to read the instructions before even putting the batteries in this after reading some other reviews about improper calibration. For the very first use out of the box you need to step on it briefly but get off BEFORE it displays your weight so that it displays 0.00. Then you get on it again and it displays your weight plus the weight of the scale, so don't panic when you think you've gained 5 pounds. Then you get on again and it should display your actual weight, which it did for me. The manual suggests getting on several more times just to confirm it's calibrated and working correctly, which I did and all was as it should be. This only takes a minute and is very simple to do. I only mention it because some others seemed confused about why it initially shows a higher weight.It's a glass surface (with the silver/color being under the glass), thin enough to look subtle but thick enough to be sturdy. I never realized how much my plastic Health-O-Meter creaked when I stood on it until I stepped on this and noticed it's completely silent, which is so much less insulting. I read at least one review where a person said it took "at least 30 seconds" to display their weight. This is not my experience at all, I get immediate results - less than one second.It displays your weight in blue for about 5 seconds and then switches to green to show your prior weight. Of course if you live with other people it will display the weight of the last person who stepped on it and not necessarily your own prior weight. I saw a couple reviews by folks who said their wives were upset at this feature because of privacy issues, so here's a tip: All you have to do is get on the scale very briefly after weighing yourself and let it display zero before leaving. This way the next person will see 0.00 as the prior weight and your secret is safe. I live alone and could care less if someone saw my weight anyway, but I understand this is a sensitive issue for many people.The display is large and clear. I like that it's back-lit so I don't need to bother with the bathroom light in the dark. So far the weight seems to be perfectly accurate but I will update this if continued use proves otherwise. It takes 4 AAA batteries (included - how rare!). I am mildly concerned about how fast it will go through batteries, since I find that AAA's never seem to last very long in other devices, but we'll see. The plus side of this is that I always have AAA's on hand, unlike the stupid "button" batteries that the old scale took.So far I'm very pleased with this scale and have no complaints. My old Health-O-Meter was only a few bucks less originally and was full of annoyances so I feel I have a nice, quality upgrade this time around. Oh, and you get a free body measuring tape as a little bonus. Bonuses are always nice.

Comprei a balança digital porque estou fazendo dieta para emagrecer e minha balança analógica tinha pouca precisão. Escolhi o modelo em apreço sobretudo porque as críticas diziam que era muito precisa e sempre marcava o mesmo peso quando a testávamos sucessivamente. Não é bem assim. Meu peso pode variar nas pesagens repetidas, embora por margem aceitável de centenas de gramas. No lado positivo o indicador de peso é grande, o que facilita sua leitura, e ele compara o peso no momento com o da última pesagem. Essa última característica é boa para quem mora sozinho - infelizmente, divido a balança com minha esposa e minha filha, de modo que várias vezes comparo meu peso com o de uma delas.

Summary - This is a solid scale to start out for losing weight or even just basic use, it's low cost and robust design makes it a great scale! I bought it for the price and have been pleasantly surprised at both its accuracy and its design. The scale is very sleek (L-30cm W-30cm H-2.5cm) and light weight, it fits easily under a couch, or coffee table, or bathroom counter. Gracias a esta bascula he podido mantenerme bajando de peso y motivada porq aunque vajo gramos a veces pues eso me ayuda a seguir adelante con mi alimentación cetogenica. Una o dos veces se le cayo la tapita pero es asunto q se.puede arreglar queda bien. Pienso q si es precisa ya q a veces hago ayuno y bajo y cuando como maa pues subo gramos o sea q si maneja bien el peso yo pienso

Bought this because I was weighed at the hospital, and the result was WAY out compared to my scales at home. These old ones were ancient, so thought I should replace them, and it would also confirm the hospital's machine. I bought the BalanceFrom scales. Spot on with the hospital. So pleased I bought them, as they have proven to be extremely accurate.I love the solid feel, when I stand on these. They look delicate, but are tremendously stable and heavy. The viewing area is quite large, and essential for me, as many scales have difficult-to-see viewing areas, which require specs to see the numbers. I like the added facility that when I step off the scale it initially shows the new weight in blue, then before it turns itself off, it shows the previous weight in green. It weighs in Pounds, Stones or Kilos, which is another handy feature.Coupled with the fast delivery and well-packed parcel, I'm very pleased with this purchase.

La plupart des commentaires sont positifs sur ce pèse-personne électronique, et c'est mérité !Je confirme après quelques semaines d'utilisation :- La mesure du poids est reproductible sur une série de mesures.- Le digit des dixièmes est significatif, la mesure est bien faite à 0,1kg près.- La taille de l'afficheur (digits) est très confortable, le rétroéclairage permet de l'utiliser dans une pièce sombre.- L'autonomie semble bonne, pas d'auto-décharge constatée lorsqu'elle est à l'arrêt.- Le design est sobre et beau- Le rappel de la dernière mesure sera utile aux célibataires.- Son prix plutôt bas ne fait que rajouter du bonus à l'ensemble.Attention : La surface où sera posée le pèse-personne doit être absolument plane et rigide, ne faites pas confiance au carrelage. Au besoin faire découper un carré de matière (verre, bois ..). Bien penser à faire l'auto-zéro avant la première utilisation.
