I just got these and stripped some wire I had in my shed. I'm a certified electrician. I've been in the trade 18+ years and I was given a pair of 45-120 T-strippers as an apprentice. They're still sharper than my Klein strippers despite being older, but I lost the spring and they're worn. So I decided to get a pair of these. My advice: don't waste your money on any other manual wire stripper. Ideal makes a top class wire stripper.

I do commercial/resi work. These are my favorite strippers. Comfortable ergo handles that don't slip. Don't break the bank in terms of cost. A wide range of wire sizes. Happy with build quality, price and durability. I replace them every 2-3 years depending on the abuse they receive.

I've tried many brands and styles, but this is it. Usually my pet name for Ideal Tools is Bad Deal Tools, but these have always been good and consistent. The ergonomic design, tool design, quality of the steel, and the handle grips. Nice quality product.

Better than my Klein and Milwaukee strippers !Update: I’m torn because I want another pair. My first and second pair stopped opening and closing correctly after cutting screws. My first pair lasted awhile of having to cut them, the second pair *screwed* up the first day. Spring even messed up.

Love these strippers, word of advice, drill out the locking mechanism and throw it away.

I have similar tools, but I could not pass up a temporary price drop on this one. It has proven to be excellent in form and function. It is currently my favorite, and has displaced the others in my primary wire kit.
