Drawing Birds (RSPB)

Wonderful
John Busby was one of the masters of sketching and drawing birds, and this book is an invitation to really look at and connect with birds, their shapes, behaviour, etc. and trying to convey that on paper. Of course Busby makes this look easy, but it’s not. I’d say this book is for readers who want to go beyond casual bird watching and get to know birds and other wildlife or plants quite intimately by sketching them.

Came with a blue cover with an owl drawing, ...
Came with a blue cover with an owl drawing, not as illustrated which was disappointing. However, book quite interesting, but as other reviewers have said, old-fashioned now and not as inspiring as I'd hoped

learning to draw birds
I bought this book to help me get started drawing birds. It's a lovely book but I was looking for something for beginners and this book although very beautiful is way beyond my capabilities

Very complete book, tells us the best lesson: observe really well and enjoy your sketching progress.
I liked the review of the work of well known artists, shows different styles, touching sketches. It looks fun and easy to do.

Puts sketching birds into context rather than just showing how to draw
Bought as a gift. Great book that is being enjoyed by the recipient
