A Young Man's Guide to Discovering His Bible

An excellent, interactive devotional for preteen-teen aged boys/young men. This was clearly written for an audience of 11-17 year old guys. There is nothing childish about it. I love how each section has a little bit of reading, and a little bit of writing. Small segments are inviting. The book carefully walks the student through the why, how and what of Scripture, with a heavy emphasis on Scripture revealing itself.We spent a great deal of intentional shopping for a this interactive type devotional study. There isn't much like it on the market. Most devotionals provide reading only, commentary on Scripture or great thoughts for that day. Most Bible studies seem to include a 20 minute daily read and response set up (designed and dated for 7 days a week). This is the only one we found where a student can work self-paced and do as much or little as he would like that day.We now have A Girl's Guide to Discovering Her Bible, and A Boy After God's Own Heart for in the cue for others in the family!

Every Christian young man should do this study. It is like a mini-seminary in a Bible study. It teaches things like hermeneutics. I wish they made one for young ladies.

Book was in great shape

Love this study guide, it isn't 'dry' for kids. I love the anecdotal stories the author includes that kids could identify with, and that it gets us talking about scripture & what it means to an 8yr old's life. Helps him see the importance of reading & knowing the Word.

This book turned out to be exactly what I was looking for to give to the young men graduating into our Youth Group ministry at church :)
