These light bulbs are exactly what I was looking for. I wanted something in bedrooms that was not your typical white bulb for enjoying evening television watching. These bulbs are just provide enough light to see, but not so bright as to be visually invasive. I now turn them on, even when no one is in the room, as they look nice! Can't seem to find them in a lot of stores, so thanks, Amazon!

I use these bulbs to light my porch. I had been using GE bulbs but had to replace them on a regular basis. I track usage and the last 17 GE bulbs lasted an average of 241 days. I replaced it with the above Bulbrite bulb from Tuff Supplies. After burning from dusk to dawn for 410 days it is still going strong. At this rate it will be many years before I have to buy another 8pk from Tuff.

I was looking for an amber bulb to replace my soft white bulbs in my lamps in my bedroom to reduce blue light. I bought a few that were advertised on Amazon and way too pricey. They were all too bright and too white. These are perfect! They have a soft, warm light --- sort of like the old school street lamps. The bulbs are orange, but when turned on --- you get a warm light. I wouldn't describe the light as orange, but warm. It gives off just the right amount of light too. It's bright enough to light up the room, but if you're looking for a small something you dropped on the floor --- this is not the bulb you would want to turn on to find it.

Back when it was possible for me to fall asleep effortlessly at 10:30 p.m. and wake at 7:00 a.m., alert and ready to go, I used to buy these lightbulbs just for their lovely golden glow. Now that sleep often eludes me, I was surprised to hear my sleep doc recommend amber, yellow, or orange bulbs for use in sleeping areas and any bathrooms or hallways one might be likely to visit in the hour or so before sleep or during the night. (She also recommended amber safety glasses, but that's a separate review.) Though skeptical, I gave it -- and a free bit of software that ratchets down the blue light of my monitor at sundown -- a try and am so far happy with the results. Of course these are just medium-amber-colored lightbulbs. They, alone, won't solve sleep problems. But as part of a larger plan (no TV, iPad, smartphone, exercise, alcohol, or domestic uproar within the last hour or two before bed), they seem to be working for me. At the very least, they're warm, dramatic ... and a shade more subtle than the yellow bug lites in my living room lamps. ;)

Just received 8 pack of the 25 watt amber bulbs. They were shipped out quickly and packaged very well. The color is more of an orange yellow. I have two table lamps with glass globes. Thee clear bulbs that I was using in the sockets was blinding. I searched many places for amber bulbs and they just don't carry them anymore. When I turn the lamps on with these bulbs, I am very satisfied by the soft glow. Also, when they are on they don't loolk so orange-yellow. Each of my lamps hold 3 bulbs so you can only imagine how blinding they were with clear 40 watt bulbs. I now have a total of three 25 watt Bulbrites and I am very pleased with them and the soft glow they reflect through my glass lamps.I hope they last for awhile and I will definitely stock up!

This is just what I was looking for. Amber bulbs are rather hard to find, as it's hit or miss with local retailers (and I live in the country's third-largest city where selection isn't usually a problem); sometimes retailers carry them and, more often than not, they do not. I like the soft glow of these bulbs, as I'm sensitive to harsh lighting. These were shipped in a jiffy, and I appreciate the packaging that maximized protection but minimized waste. As a side note, I noticed that my neighbors use these as porch lights and it really complements their earth-tone/brown color palette.

Exactly what I was looking for! I have light sensitivity and suffer from migraines. I replaced the ceiling lamp lights with these so I can use the overhead light without it being overwhelming. Great light bulbs, they fit perfectly in standard light sockets. You may want to keep a backup lighting option, because these put off a weak light and if you need some stronger brightness (like if you are looking for something). I keep a standard watt lightbulb in my lamp for such occasions.

A friend gifted me with her hurricane lamp...the bulb was white and very very bright, searched and searched for a more softer light bulb, and found this one. The price was right too. So happy with the purchase. It gives off a nice soft light...great for when you go out and return home...just enough soft light so you don't walk into a dark room.

I've had / used about 12 of them so far and replaced as my old bulbs have burnt out over the past year. We have extreme cold / wet weather where I live and they have held up very well to date. None have burned out or flickered.

Dark amber color ..it was exactly what I was looking for to use as backlighting for my water feature.

They are a good Amber Colour and worked well for my purpose. They are incadescent and I don't expect to last as lond as LEDs
