Dear Amazon Dwellers , The switch worked well solving the problems of the lack of hdmi ports on my TV. Sadly it lasted only 1 year then broke. I'm just glad I at least got a year out of the thing. Other than that, switch was easy to set up and worked as discribed. Merry Christmas, 2ed

HDMI Switch SGEYR 5x1 HDMI Switcher 5 in 1 Out HDMI Switch Selector 5 Port Box with IR Remote : I'm running a Mac, a TiVo and a Blu-Ray player through this monitor and I needed to be able to switch between them without reaching behind the monitor to use their switch. It doesn't have a remote. At first, I was taking HDMI out of my Mac thinking that would be best since there would be no conversions, but it acted very strangely. I got random white flashes even when plugged straight into the monitor. Internet research lead me to some possible solutions, but none of them worked. And, when I plugged the Mac HDMI into this switch, things got even stranger. It gave me such high resolution that I could barely read the menus! I fiddled with it and since I swapped out all of the cables, I just blamed it on Apple. Why not, right? Then I got a thunderbolt to HDMI cable and came out of there into this switch and it's been smooth as silk ever since. My guess now is that the original problem has something to do with HDCP or some wack-a-do Apple thing. No matter. This switch does what it claims to do, very nicely.

It comes with a USB Cable for energy, so unless you have a USB port on your wall, you'll need an aditional adapter to plug it directly, not all adapters are the same, so read carefully to not undercharge or overcharge the deveice, aside from that, it works flawlessly, it feels heavy wich was a pleasant surprise, since many of these adapters are too light and they need to be glued, or the HDMI cables will have them dandling if they aren't fixed to a place. It changes automatically to the last device that was turned, and so far, hasn't given any issues with any device or signal.

I was using a projector and had only one HDMI port on it, switching around was a headache but this product changes everything thing. Sounds Quality, picture quality is great. It comes with remote and you can switch between devices easily.

I've purchased this item twice. Neither time did it work. The first time was Dec 2021. My mistake was not opening and testing this HDMI switcher within a couple months. By the time I opened it and attempted implementing it, it didn't work. Wouldn't function at all. No lights. I found a worse temporary solution. I've moved and decided to give the product another try. This version does light up, but it wouldn't hold a connection. After testing multiple 1.3, 1.4, 2.2, and other HDMI cable types, a consistent problem occurred. My monitor detects when connected devices are connected or turned on. Upon connecting my laptop through this switch, the monitor turns on and attempts to connect. My laptop screen would flash as if preparing to sync with another screen. After a couple seconds of blue screen, my monitor turns off. Another couple seconds pass and this cycle repeats. Monitor turns on. Both monitor and laptop screen blink as they sense each other. Connection fails and my monitor turns off. Repeat. I tested both power sources from both products to see if my original unit would work. Nope, but both power cords work with the newer version. You might be lucky enough to receive one of the functioning units many other reviewers seem to have received. I alternatively received 2 bad units. My disappointment is immeasurable and my setup is ruined. I'll be returning this and am undecided if I'll include both of my malfunctioning units in the box. Might keep the old one for target practice as returning it won't actually return the money I spent on it back in 2021. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice and I'll take my money elsewhere.

I use this product for my church it’s really nice. Works very well. No regrets

Needed more HDMI ports to plug in two DVD players and a Xumo box, because the TV only had two HDMI ports. Switched from a DVR player to a Xumo/cloud which only holds recordings for nine months. Had to switch back to a DVD player. Also this HDMI switch works with a RCA to HDMI converter that needed for an old Toshiba DVD player that only had RCA plugs.
