I bougth this book for a Daisy Girl Scout meeting and read it to them before assembling gifts and birthday cards for foster youth.I recommend this for your personal library, classroom, or as a gift.It's hilarious, silly, and has cute artwork.

This imaginative story encourages one big rule: Do celebrate someone and their birthday! ... and make sure they make a wish! Beth Ferry's fun language and Tom Lichtenheld's merry art of animals make for one delightful read!

This is a fantastic choice for a child’s birthday gift but also a great read all year long! The illustrations are so fun and whimsical, they really bring out the joy of the book. The book describes 10 birthday rules but there’s a silly exception for each one. The kids really get into the silliness of the exceptions. I’ve read it to several elementary school classes, and they all loved it!

I absolutely love this book. Perfect way to get your kid excited about birthdays and all that comes along with it. I have bought this book as a gift for 3 other children as well. It’s not a popular title yet but is definitely a must have in a kids library.

I first saw this book at the library a year ago. My son and I enjoyed it so much, that I bought it shortly before his birthday this year. Thanks to COVID, a couple of rules may now be outdated, but this is still an incredibly fun and wonderful book. The illustrations are fantastic.
