NYX PROFESSIONAL MAKEUP Mechanical Eyeliner Pencil, Golden Olive

I’ve been ordering for a year and this was my first disappointment. One pencil was beautiful as always, easy glide on color. The other was all dried out and not really usable. Never had that problem before. I will continue to use this crayon-pencil however as it has always been good in the past.

EDIT: the review below was for the deep purple eyeliner, which I love. I got the white for my lower waterline...omg...just NOOOO! NOT subtle. I just did a thin line and looked like I had taken chalk. SO....DEEP PURPLE for these old eyes, YES! The white MAY work for some, but it was the opposite of raccoon eyes for me. HORRID. ________________________________________________________ This has been a subtle, but makeup-changing, liner for me! As I have gotten older (am very fair, had black hair and now is salt and pepper, hazel eyes), still liked my black eyeliner, would just put on a thin line and then SMUDGE, so it didn't look harsh. Brown just didn't look right on me at all. Not with black eyelashes and my skin tone. THEN I read the deep purple reviews. Seemed like what I was looking for AND IT IS! I never went for purple because I didn't want my eyeliner to really STAND OUT, the dark purple is PERFECT. Looks better than the black did, very flattering, yet doesn't SCREAM. It's subtle, but gives me just the little pop I was looking for. Because I wanted a very SUBTLE highlight for under brow, I use Revlon Colorstay creme eye shadow in Creme Brulee. I put it on with a finger, and just rub a little under brows and inner corner of eyes for just a little brightener. I think this would be a great color on anyone, young or old, but, if you, like me, want something a little toned down from black, but brown just DOESN'T do it for you, you MAY wish to give this a try, especially at this price! BOTTOMLINE: Goes on smoothly, can smudge it right after I put it on, yet it stays on well (I only do upper eye and a bit on the corners of bottom). Came SEALED well. And at an unbelievable price. WILL be getting more, but likely will stay with just the deep purple because it's now my go to!

It definitely goes on very nicely, and stays put, which is great. My only reason for nixing one star was that it’s a little bit of a very bright silver, not glittery, and I like that, but just maybe a little too close to like a white liner. But definitely as far as the brand, usability, and ease without any smudge it is great!

Wow. I was looking for a soft pencil that had staying power and a complimentary color for my skin...and this is it! The pencil is soft and goes on smoothly without pulling my eyelid. It literally lasts all day whether I use an eye lid primer or not. And the color, Deep Purple, is absolutely perfect if you're looking for something softer than black, but different than gray. It's a wonderful, muted color--very classic. Some of the purple colors out there are just that--way out there! Suited more for teenagers or extreme drama. This brand and their color Deep Purple is lovely, not too blue and not too bright. (My skin tone is a medium shade.) You do need to use an eye makeup remover at night due to it being waterproof and smudge resistant.

I've been buying these professional makeup eyeliner last several years because of its very high quality,so I tried different colors. I dont remeber having any allergies in my life, but after 3 years using this product I noticed that I have SEVERE EYE ALLERGY from the only PURPLE color (meanwhile DEEP purple is totally fine as all other colors). I am not sure what exactly they add to make purple color, but after first several hours using it I usually got totally red eye balls (with no white spots!!!) and super sticky eyes after first night (like after heavy eye infection). It took at least 3 days to stop the infection, and I didn't use ANY makeup during recovering of course. I had to throw the purple pencil away after each purchase, but I am still loving and using Gypsy blue, Olive green and Bronze colors. Just wanted to warn others if someone has allergies.

Really good eyeliner. Stays in place all day love the colour; it's hard to find a good, stay in place, purple budget, gel eyeliner! Easy to apply and seems waterproof.
