First off, the instructions call for lubricant to push ends of rods into receiver; I found this not necessary. Firm push of rod into receiver clicks into place, not difficult. I am 78 and had no difficulty installing shelf, just follow easy to read instructions.Good shelf, does the job; recommend shelf topper. I got this for a friend in a rental apartment for the washer and dryer closet. Only had a shelf at about 6 1/2 feet high and she had difficulty reaching it. I installed this about 18 inches above the washer/dryer. I chose this shelf because it is easy to remove and replace if the washer/dryer needs repair or placement. Takes about 5 minutes to remove the shelf toppers and rods leaving the out of the way brackets in place. Replace the rods and shelf toppers in about 5 minutes.

I'm definitely a DIY person, but there are times I'm lazy and just don't want to mess with things. I saw this, ordered and thought I would give it a shot.I needed just a bit more storage since I got tired of going to the store, but I was fed up with things taking up my floor space.Putting these up was one of the easiest thing I've ever done and took only a few minutes.Love these! Will definitely be ordering more!

Just finished installing two 72in EZShelf kits in my coat closet. This is a quality product with terrific instructions. Everything went EZ-ily without any issues.It is refreshing to receive a quality product that is done right with no flaws or missing parts and that goes together exactly as it is supposed to. I will be buying more kits to increase my storage space.

Update: I changed my review. I sent back the original because I wanted the item that had the hanging rod. The company resent the item but when it came to me it was a used item. The package had been opened, the template was already used, and the parts for the product weren't packaged and were all over in the box. Some of the parts were missing.Very very tacky on the part of the company to charge full price for the product and send a used product.I received the EZ Shelf - DIY Expandable Shelf but it was a size larger than what I required. The information said to call the customer service number if I had any issues. So I did. It was after their working time but they answered my phone and took care of everything quickly. They had another within a day shipping to me. Great customer service by this company.The product too is good quality. It is heavy-duty. Steel poles and good quality. I highly recommend this product and the company that stands behind their products.

Years ago, an incompetent not so handyman installed those wire shelf in my closet. Due to poor workmanship, the shelf collapsed. I was looking for a shelf that was more sturdy and this fit the bill. I am happy with the product, installation was easy. One note to add is, they include those heavy duty dry wall anchors that really can withstand heavy load.There is one negative. The shelves are 12 inch wide. I would have preferred 16 inch.

Does exactly what I wanted it to do. Husband was impressed with my creativity and use of space. My pantry had a lot of upper space that wasn't being used. I looked at several alternatives from materials to shapes. I bought two units to expand my storage. Once I installed the first shelf the second one was easy. It required a learning curve on my part but I got it done. Allows light to pass through without stuff falling through. Easy to adjust the width to fit my pantry. Didn't have to use the middle braces. Only negative would be that two different rods wouldn't tighten/lock when adjusted but the others do so it isn't a big deal.

I bought multiple sets of these including shelves, closet organizer etc. I set up three walk in closets all by myself. plus a shelf over the washer/dryer. I am not handy really. Here is what I did. I set myself up to be successful. I started small. I mounted the first one in the laundry room where the poles fit perfectly between the two walls. Easy simple. I used a level, a pencil, a hammer, a power drill, a drill bit, screwdriver bit and the kit. It took me about an hour or so to assemble this. Why? It was my first one. I wanted to make sure everything worked. Here is a hint. Make sure the middle thick part of the poles is not in line with the center support section. Trust me. Each pole end fits perfectly in either the right/left side. The middle thick part does not fit inside the center support though. i am now an expert. I did 12 foot sections, 6 ft sections, sections that don't reach the far end of closets. All without a handy man or any man!!
