Very sturdy, suction cups on ceramic tile work well to secure unit

I am so glad I purchased this punching bag. It’s a great way to vent your frustrations and get in a workout. It’s a lot of fun and it’s something you WANT to do so it doesn’t take much motivation to get up and go hit your bag. I look forward to going home and being able to release my stress and frustrations. I didn’t need any additional tools to put it together either. I can’t wait to go home and punch my bag :)

This punching bag arrived on time as mentioned in my order. The base arrived much earlier than expected, while the bag arrived on the first day of the "arrives between" dates. If you do decide to fill the base with sand (which is almost unanimously recommended across the internet), you will definitely need to get a funnel in order to get all the sand in and minimize spills. Also, some on other sites have suggested using Playground Sand, but I find Multipurpose Sand is much easier to work with. Though it does get very dusty in the air and can get into your airways, so wearing a mask while doing that is strongly encouraged. In terms of the bag itself, it holds up very well to punches and kicks. I filled mine with 150 lbs of sand. It does wobble when struck, but not enough to be an issue. The assembly was very easy and straightforward such that I didn't really need the instructions. When striking it I do notice that when I hit it hard enough, there's a slight divot in the surrounding area where I made contact. However, this goes away if striking more than just that single area. If striking just that area for precision, the divot does not appear to get any worse. The one issue I find with this bag is in its description the words "noise reduction" and "noiseless" were used. As with the way sound works, things like this will always produce some noise. For me, I struck this with pulled-back punches in the downstairs of my house, and my parents claimed they could definitely hear it through the floor in the upstairs of the house while they were watching TV. Besides all that, this bag is of great quality. It holds up very well, easy to assemble, and is at an affordable price compared to other bags.

I want to first start with the customer service. I first recieved a damaged bag. You can tell by the way the box was damaged that it was damaged during shipping. I messaged the seller and within minutes I had a reply. I sent them a few pictures of the deformed bag and of the box. Right away they told me they would send me a replacement. I recieved the replacement within two days of messaging them. By far the best customer service I have ever dealt with. 5 stars!! Now let’s review the bag itself. I have a wavemaster in the yard. The wave master is very bulky and even when filled with water it moves around a lot. I had purchased a heavy bag but the space I am using in the basement is very small and with low ceilings. This bag was perfect for the space! It has the perfect size and height. The suction cups on the bottom are amazing! It didn’t work on the gym mat, but I cut a hole out and the suction cups hold it pretty steady on tile. It was able to take strong kicks and punches without moving from its place. I was extremely impressed. I filled the base with sand. It took 2 60lb bags of play sand. The sand gave it a more stable foundation. The sand plus the suction cup, the bag is not moving no matter how hard you strike it. Only thing was the size funnel I had made it a tad difficult to get the sand in quickly. It took me about 20 minutes to get it in. Which is not bad for the sturdiest portable bag. Putting the base together with the bag was the simplest part. The easiest and fastest installation. It was very straightforward and the one tool needed was provided. I give this item 5 stars. I would highly recommend purchasing it. The price is also low in comparison to other products that do the job. You can’t beat the price, the customer service, and the quality of the bag. Don’t waste another second debating it!! Summary: I'm not a prize fighter by any means. I'm just a guy that likes to hit the bag for exercise. Overall, this is a good bag that looks to be very durable. I hit the bag pretty hard, and it seems like it will last. It took some time to assemble, but they give you everything you need except sand. I have a smooth floor, but it's concrete and probably not the best surface for suction cups to attach. However, they do attach somewhat. I am used to hitting a 100 pound hanging bag which has a wider diameter. This bag is narrower and you have to hit it more carefully so you don't bend and injure your wrists. I recommend this bag for exercise. Since I'm not training to actually fight, I can't speak to how good it is for that application. Details: -You will need DRY sand. I got mine at Home Depot near the bags of concrete - don't get it from the nursery because that's wet sand you'll never get it into the base. I put about 140 pounds of sand in the base. -Get a good funnel that has a wide opening on the top and bottom. The bigger the openings, the faster the sand filling will go. It's a pain, but necessary. -This bag is ideal if you have smooth floors for the suction cups, unless you're not a hard hitter. Even with the suction cups sorta working on my floor, I can still knock the bag over. -The bag itself is harder/firmer than I expected. You'll need decent gloves. I have some worn 14oz gloves that work ok. I haven't tried my 8oz MMA gloves, but they should be ok.

The bag itself once put together does the job well but the packaging of this product and quality assurance is too sketchy for me to ever recommend it, and I bought the more expensive model of this bag. The box was so thin and lacked any support for the bag part. As a result one end of it was completely torn off in the shipping process leaving anything to be able to fall out. Even worse was that that end had the shipping label so had that been lost my bag would have been lost in the mail. Of course I have no doubt fedexs inn ability to ship a box without it looking like Brock Lesnar had his way with it is the primary issue with this, but the company should also know to at the very least use a thicker cardboard or enough tape, possibly even staples, to ensure the items will not be able to beat up the box so bad. Once I brought the box inside a nut fell out which at first had me worried that there was a bag of screws and stuff that had come loose and had been possibly lost in shipping due to the box, meaning I’d have to return it, but that wasn’t the case. It was instead the the screws and nuts that are clearly preinstalled and attatched the hydraulic and spring system were not at all properly tightened. The one that fell out had come completely off and another one was about one twist away from the same fate. The rest, although they looked like they were on all the way, were extremely loose and it just shows that there’s little care put into the quality assurance of this products construction. The base came in the same day and in good shape, I had no problems with its shipping. What I did have a problem with though is how upon unscrewing the bad to fill it I was met with a strong smell of dead fish. I get that plastic products often smell pretty bad, but this was the worst I’ve ever experienced and was so bad I could smell it from outside the room. Luckily it lost most of the scent after spraying it out and once the cap is put back in the base it hides the smell completely, but just know that that’s something you will have to deal with when filling this up. Overall after constructing the bag it works as expected and I haven’t had any functionality issues yet, however with how low the quality assurance is with this I don’t think it’s safe to say that you can order this knowing that it won’t have issues, as it very clearly does. Personally I would recommend looking at another brand as there are plenty of options out there at a similar price point. Also another thing I forgot to mention is this bag is not short people friendly. Luckily im fairly tall but I couldn’t imagine anyone of a shorter stature wanting to throw any kicks on this bag.

Man....I usually don't take a chance on items without reviews but this one was worth it. It's sturdy....the suction cups and springs in the base work great. It is just as quiet as advertised. No need for expert assembly, as they do half the work for you. I filled it with two-50lb bags of sand and the base literally doesn't move. My punches pack a wallop so I was expecting it to budge a little but nothing. Other than filling the base, all you have to do is screw the lugs in to connect the bag to the base. Filling and screwing took me about an hour or so. This is definitely worth every penny. Great addition to my home gym and it doesn't take up much space....I LOVE IT! UPDATE (5 YEARS LATER): So, it's been a long time since I purchased this bag, and I'm happy to say....it is still standing! I am still more than happy with my purchase! I wish I could give them another 5 stars. The leather has held up great. It's stored in my garage - which is where I use it - on cement floor. The garage can get pretty hot in these hot Texas summers; so I'm shocked not to see any deterioration. Still looks like I i just bought it though...aside from the obvious punching spots, but even those don't look too bad. Over the years my health has been up and down, so admittedly I'm not as strong as I used to be, but I'll get back.
