Gets nearly all the engine oil out
This is an excellent piece of kit. For car engine oil changes I have always removed the sump drain plug. With this kit I was able to remove almost all the old oil from the sump. To check how much was old oil was still in the sump I removed the plug and drained less than 0.5 litres (may be even less than 0.25l). So it does work very well and what's even better is that you can leave it pumping automatically and come back to find its all done! I will be using this for all future oil changes. If I buy a new car I will do the same test to see how much oil it leaves in the sump as different makes of car can have odd shaped sumps leaving more or less oil in the sump. Anything less than 0.5 litres is a win in my book.

Love It
This thing is way way better than I ever expected. It's so easy to use absolutely anyone can do their own oil change without so much as a drip. That's no exaggeration. Was it really so quick and so easy? I'm still flabbergasted a day later. 6 litres was extracted in less than 10 minutes from my car. I've only used it once and it's already saved me it's worth.

Great quality, sturdy
Removed 5.5ltrs easily from my SLK.. no mess, no drama. Pump for vacuum and pour yourself a cuppa while it removes the oil, fit new oil filter and your ready to pour in fresh oil. Job done, no spills over the drive and easy to pour out old oil in to container ready to take to local tip to dispose of. Also seems pretty sturdy so should last years.

Very good, works well
Tried this for the first time having never used one before and the results are quite impressive. What I didn’t do is pump long enough and the vacuum stopped working at around 3 litres. What I did do is then drain the tank as the instructions state not to pump beyond a 6” level So as not to damage the seals. I then restarted draining and all the oil was removed. Connecting the extension pipes isn’t easy and neither is removal especially with oily hands. I used the thicker supplied pipe and it was a perfect fit for the TT. I drained off all the oil and completely filled the tank. What I don’t know now is how to wash out clean the tank and pipes after use?

It suched out my engine oil with no problems.
I needed car for dirty work, so I bought one which seems to be in good mechanical condition, but with very bad body. I tried to service it myself on the normal way - draining the engine oil through the sump plug. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to unscrew it and decided to try to pump out the oil. There were few cheaper options, but I decided to give a try to this one - at least, it is from well recognised brand. Luckly, it did the job and I think it did it very well. My car is Nissan Nore E11 (the firs generation, 08 reg plate), which needs 4.6l of oil and I think I drained exacly the same amount (my waste oil bottle was 5l and it was quite full). The big hose went through the dip stick tube easly and the whole process was much easier and faster, than draining through the plug (replacing the oil filter was much bigger challange, but it doesn't have anything to do with the pump). All in all - I would recommend, just bear in mind that draining trough the plug (if it's possible) will help remove the sludge and other nasties, which acumulated in the sump pan. I'm not quite sure, that this pump will do exactly the same job. On the other hand, it could be used ocassionaly, for convenience with no problems at all.

Easy, quick and efficient
Really happy with this. Much less stressful then using ramps/jacks and draining from the sump plug, especially having a low car. Drained around 5 litres of oil in 5-10 minutes. Easy to set up and the spout made pouring the oil back out of the container very easy. Seems well built. Would recommend.

Ease of use and so much cleaner than draining from the sump
Main feature is its ease of use and several pipe diameters so haven't had an issue in the two machines I have used it on so far. Much cleaner than traditional sump nut removal which always seemed to end in getting covered in oil. Wished I had invested in one years ago If you have to do engine oil changes on a regular basis would highly recommend.

It won't work on all vehicles
Nothing wrong with this product; but, quite simply, it's "probes" could not "negotiate" to the bottom of the sump of my 1999 Yamaha XJ600N. Too many nooks and crannies. I suspect, for most cars, and many motorcycles, this product will work very well.
