CovesideMini Wooden Bat Box House Shelter - Houses up to 12 bats

Bought a bat house from NaturesRoom, came quickly and was great quality. I'm actually considering buying another one from them for my sister's place. I have dogs and hate spraying pesticides on the grass to control/kill the bugs. I live in a city but found a great tree in my backyard that gets good sun in the morning. (apparently the like warm houses. 80 degrees F or more) Great way to control the bug population naturally. Only issue I have is that i purchased the bat house for just over $27 and 3 days later the price dropped to $19. This bat house can hold up to 12 bats according to the sheet that came with it. Also a bat can eat up to 7,000 mosquitos per night!

I really didn't want a bat house, but I want the bat off my front porch. I don't know how to let the bat know that we bought it a new house and need it to move! So far, still have bat poop in front of my door and an empty bat house. If my bat relocates, it will instantly become my favorite birthday gift ever. Guess I could give it 5 stars, it was a great value for the money, I did not want a huge bat house that cost mega $$$ like many of the others - my husband said it went up easily, but I really do not know if it works yet.

We've had this bat house for a few months and while no bats have taken roost in it yet, we're very satisfied. I had considered building my own for my kids, but when it came down to it, they wanted this one when they saw it online. It was cheaper here than to buy the pieces necessary to build my own, and it came with great instructions and information about bats that my kids enjoyed reading. If no bats take home in it by the end of this month, we're going to change locations and try another spot.The house is very sturdy, looks nice, and withstood 80mph winds in a recent thunderstorm. Although it blew off the nail we have it hung on (I've now switched it to an eye hook, that was my mistake), it survived the 10 foot fall to the ground quite easily. Highly recommended if you're looking for a small, starter bat house.

The bat house is cute and after several years of hanging on a pine tree in the back yard, it still is in great shape. Unfortunately it has no occupants and never has, although it faces a retention pond/swamp area with plenty of food for an army of bats. I will keep hoping for an occupant or two.

The cost and tedious specications to build a mini-bat house was more than I wanted to invest. This is easy to install and reasonably priced (compared to building your own) but there is a caveat, which is why I rated it 4-stars instead of 5. The caveat is the nature of bats: most of the time, you have to physically install a bat in a new bat house before the bat will return to it. I'm working on that end.

My 7 year old granddaughter wrote a report on Bats and she brought in your bat house to explain to the class how we can all help the declining bat population by putting a bat house in our back yard. She gave the class lots of information as well on the life of a bat. It turned out very well especially when all of the children were able to come up and have a hands on experience with the bat house. Made all the information come to life. We love the bat house and will be putting it up in our yard as soon as the weather permits. Thank you for a quality product.

The bat house is a gift for my son. I think the bat house will be just what they need for their back yard. However, I feel it could be packaged much better for shipping. The box was crushed and had a hole in it. The bat house itself was wrapped in thin brown paper. I am happy with the bat house, but very unhappy with the packaging.

we have a colony of bats here already so these hopefully will get a family. Instruction say hang in full sun, not going to hang on building so we are still looking for the proper tree to hang at 15'.
