I was worried about the size, that it may be to small. Ordered a M and the size chart said was 48cm. It was actually 51 which was better. So, hand measurement may work in your favour. If your order your normal size and it's a wee bit bigger then all is good, if it's a couple cm's the other way then there's a possible problem. I was lucky, but my advice is it you M go L, and so on. Remember an oversize jumper is ok, under size is not good.

I really doubt that there is any finer knitwear for the cold weather than this. Icelandic sheep produce a unique fibre and the ladies who knit these sweaters follow a tradition going back into history. This kind of quality and tradition truly ascends the transience of fashion.This the third Icewear sweater that I’ve purchased and the second hand knitted one. I am a 44” chest and 5’10” so ordinarily I’d go for XL. However I find that their XL comes up too large and especially in the sleeve so I find that size L is ideal for me. You need to consider that as these are hand knitted there is a fair degree of personal input by the knitters so there is a difference in fit in my two hand knitted versions.

I went to visit my sister who lives five minutes walk away and wore my new jumper to show it off, It was not raining when I left although a bit breezy, but by the time I arrived it was raining lightly, the jumper kept me perfectly warm against the wind and although it felt wet to touch on the outside, inside I was perfectly dry, it is extremely soft and comfortable to wear and fits perfectly.

This jumper is the best you can get: hand-knitted, with Icelandic wool to traditional Norwegian jumper patterns. Sheer Luxury

My husband is over the moon with this jumper. He wanted one when we saw them in Iceland on our last holiday and he's now the proud owner. Fits well according to size.
