I finished it in a couple days would have been sooner if my phone would have stopped ringing. It draws you in fast and I actually thought the beginning was gonna be boring. I was hooked within the 2nd chapter there was no turning back then. The book is written very well I love how she makes you feel like your right there in it. Although wish there would have been more explanation of why this key is what sends her back in time and sometimes it don't but other than that I love the story. Can't wait for the next one and it actually even ends in a good place without leaving you frustrated like some do still wanting to read more but not mad at the author at least for leavin a major cliff hanger thats tragic. I hear so many sayin there favorite characters and all and Phillip is the one no one seems to feel well I promise you he shows alot of emotion even til the end he was definitely my favorite of all the characters and he was so passionate and you could tell it in every word he said to Michele. This book had me crying closer to the end and even towards the middle of the book. Only one other book has ever done that to me and that was the time travelers wife now don't get me wrong I think they are both pretty different but its so sad when the time travel keeps to people apart whether it for the rest of there lives or it be just simply for certain amounts of time. I'm 30 and I do recommend this although can't figure what some are talkin about that you could tell that in the book Phillip and Michele were intimate even though they never went full on details I'm not sure wht they read I never saw that once say they were intimate but came close. I'm a major twilight fan and this is why I read this book cause it recommended it to me and I will tell you its funny no matter how much I love twilight I think this book touched me more. I hope they eventually make a movie out of it I would love to see it on the big screen. As for the love story you can tell is not exactly the main part of the book cause Michele learns her family along the way but I think that love story is what kept me comin back more than anything. I do recommend this book to anyone who loves unconditional love that you would do anything to be with that person or anything to make that person happy. It is a very passionate love but not to the point Harlequin books get into so don't be steered wrong on that one. But I think Michele and Phillip got to experience a love that most of us dream of. Review: Magnificent epic love story that transcends time!!! - I first read this book a few years back when I bought a hard copy! I loved it so much, the cover and everything and so, this second time around, it’s in my kindle, and of course it now needs an honest review! An exceptionally gifted author, Alexandra Monir has written a great epic that we seldom find among today’s writers flooding our libraries nowadays! To be fair, authors’ writing style are fine. Her superior creative mind has rewarded us with a most beautiful time travel story ever told so far in my reading experience as a passionate book lover of science fiction! Researching time travel books in kindle is so much fun and rewarding! “Timeless” rings true with its chosen title... indeed, in my opinion this is indeed a Timeless book that was written in the history of time travel, hands down!!! it truly is... Michele Windsor’s and Philip Walker’s exceptional love story will be eternally engraved in my heart even after i have long finished the book! It has captured my fantasy to its highest level... indulging with the grandeur’s of New York and the beautifully written songs by our gifted author! Every spellbinding eras intricately described in this book has increased my desire to go back to New York and re-visit it’s grandeur wealth of history! I lived there for only three years, and truly miss every nook and corner!!! Belonging to one of the wealthiest families in New York, Michele Windsor born in 1994 in California, orphaned at sixteen, was called to live with her maternal grandparents whom she had never meet. Secrets and mystery she could hardly tolerate, feeling unloved but she stayed on for her mother’s sake. She hasn’t known her father. Her schooldays are forms of escape. One day, she found a mysterious key which turned out to be powerful. Endowed with supernatural gift through her father’s legacy, she journeyed a few times in different timeline where she encountered heartwarming meetings with her ancestors thru that golden key. She was visible to one or two persons only. Meeting Philip Walker in 1910 during her first travel back in time, started their mutual love for each other. Michele in year 2010 and Philip in 1910 are hardly ideally suited to continue, come what may. Michele has tried taking Philip with her to her present year without success. Therefore to save him from an unsettled future, finally Michele sadly chose to let him go, but then Philip strongly and deeply believing in their love promised to reunite with her ... someday in an unlikely circumstances! Two lovers divided by a hundred of years, will Philip be able to fulfill such a promise? There’s a sequel coming up called “Timekeeper” let’s wait with and see, hearts a flutter!!! In the meantime, pick up a copy and make a trip to fantasyland, and have an adventure with Michele!!!

I came across this novel by accident, and I was surprised how intriguing it was. Although it is quite a sweet, innocent romance novel (it is geared for young adults), I found that I tended to focus on the time traveling aspect of the plot, and became fascinated in finding out how the author chose to explain how the heroine goes back 100 years in time like she does. I was slightly disappointed to find out that this novel continued into a companion novel. Although I have enjoyed other literary series before, I think this tactic is a petty money grab....but of course, I was hooked! Thus, I predictably purchased the next novel anyways, not satisfied to leave these characters alone without finding out what ever became of them. A great tame little young adult romance, that will not disappoint! But be warned-there is a sequel, so if you want to embark on this adventure it will cost you!! ;)

When I asked other bloggers for books regarding time travel, this one came up a few times. Timeless has a really interesting premise and different from other books about time travel I had heard about. Alexandra Monir puts a lot of description and background into the New York that she writes about. Both the present and the past and distinctively different and this was a part of the book that I absolutely loved. Each time Michele went into the past, I could feel the difference in the way that people lived and acted although I do also wish that Michele had been able to spend more time in the past. I really liked Michele to begin with. She has a very close relationship with her mother and that was something that I liked to see but it was cut short. Instead of carrying this on, she is sent off to New York to live with Grandparents that she had never met. To begin with, Michele seemed like an average, really nice girl who was actually quite sensible. When Michele went to New York though, I began to like her less and less. When she begins to learn of her ability to time travel, she lies constantly, makes things up and expects people she barely knows to cover for her and basically just seemed like a really crappy `friend', not that you could really call her that. Michele's ability to time travel made her extremely selfish and I didn't think that this was the girl I was reading about at the beginning of the book. The basic plot of this book is that Michele can time travel and falls in love with a boy from 1910. While I'm all one for romance mixed in with a great story, neither the romance nor the story was great. As Michele flits between 1910 and 2010, there just wasn't enough time spent in either time and there wasn't enough time spent getting to know characters which would have enabled me to like them better. I don't feel as though I really got to know any character in the book well enough which was a real shame as I think there was definite potential for a few of them. The plot was too much about the romance and not about the time travelling for me and I think this was a big reason why I didn't really like this book too much. As I said, the romance does take precedence over an actual plot. Michele and love interest Philip only actually meet a couple of times and they don't get to spend too much real time together. I've said in many past reviews that something that I cannot bare in books is love at first sight and far too quick `I love you's' and this book has both of those things. Trying to slightly get away from the love at first sight thing, Monir adds in Michele's dreams of Philip which makes it seem as though she knows him better than she actually does. I don't buy this at all and it was just so unrealistic. However, I can sometimes get into a romance like this should there be exceptionally written chemistry but unfortunately, there was none of that either so Michele and Philip's relationship fell extremely short for me. This is the first book in a series but I won't be carrying on with it. I did like the initial idea of the time travel in this novel but not much else.

Rezension Timeless Reihe Band I Alexandra Monir They belong together, but they can't be together for more than a few hours. She does not exist in his time and he not in hers. 100 years are separating a love meant to be. For their love Michelle is challenging history and fate, but everything has it's price ... When tragedy strikes Michele Windsor’s world, she is forced to uproot her life and move across the country to New York City, to live with the wealthy, aristocratic grandparents she’s never met. In their old Fifth Avenue mansion filled with a century’s worth of family secrets, Michele discovers a diary that hurtles her back in time to the year 1910. There, in the midst of the glamorous Gilded Age, Michele meets the young man with striking blue eyes who has haunted her dreams all her life – a man she always wished was real, but never imagined could actually exist. And she finds herself falling for him, into an otherworldly, time-crossed romance. Michele is soon leading a double life, struggling to balance her contemporary high school world with her escapes into the past. But when she stumbles upon a terrible discovery, she is propelled on a race through history to save the boy she loves – a quest that will determine the fate of both of their lives. Cover: Das Cover gefällt mir sehr gut.
