Social Work Values and Ethics (Foundations of Social Work Knowledge)

Such a disappointment! Reamer is the accepted expert speaking for years on social work ethics. Writing an article on challenges in client advocacy by social workers, I purchased the kindle edition as the Preface says the text includes relevant content in the macro practice chapter. Beware! Not a word about advocacy or community practice anywhere in the book. Neither does the index lead to any related terms. My take-home lesson: only buy a kindle book when one can review the topical index first.

I use this book for an ethics class I teach. It is very well written and has a good amount of useful material in it.

Excited to read this version. Just at a glance, it’s easy to read, and very informative! I’ll post again after reading the entire book.
