These are built solid. The sole is particularly rugged and firm. I haven't owned a bear of British Knights since their MTV 1980's commercials. Very nice for people with wider than normal feet. Unlike the Chucks the shoe strings are ideal size meaning they don't untie themselves and try to get caught in the escalator when going down the Wheaton Metro stairs. I like the color but would definitely want a different variation when I re-order.

Not really impressed with BKs. This was the first pair I had since I was in middle school. The first few weeks the shoe was pretty uncomfortable, especially in the heel, until I was able to break it in. Other brands don't really suffer from this to this extent these days, at least at the price point this shoe is currently selling. The trade off was that the sole *seemed* built super tough (hard recycled rubber feel) but after about 4-5 months of near daily wear (just around town, nothing intensive like labor or running), you can see in my picture that there are two "soft" spots on the heel and below the toes where the rubber has worn completely down. You can't really see but there are micro cracks as well which let any water in and get the socks wet. Pretty cheap quality overall even for what I payed which was around $30 if I recall correctly. To be completely fair, the top part of the shoes have held up just fine with minimal wear; it is just the soles which are the weak point of this shoe.Took a chance on BKs but was left wanting. Going back to Adidas for this style of shoe for comfort and reliability.

I wore British Knights as a kid and just wanted to try them again. They where not the highest quality/expensive shoe then and the same goes for now. I like them they fit nice. I wear them around town on errands and just as my regular shoe. I plan to continue purchasing British Knights in the future.

the shoes were a rad tight during my first walk in these, and I got a blister. The second time I went to wear them, they had loosened up a lot and were incredibly comfortable. Now they're my.fave shoes.

Great shoes. Seem well made and are comfy. If you are 40 something and looking for a flashback just get 'em.

Incredibly comfortable like DC or VAN but the sole is actually thick and feels relatively durable.
