They will. I use them for surf shorts and walk 5 miles everyday on the beach and they have never come undone.

Q: what about bending? I walk with walker so am bent most of day.

It should be comfortable for you. Keep in mind Skinny Clip can be worn on the side or even on the back of your pants, so bending should not be a problem.

Q: I need to tighten about 1/4-1/2 inch. Will these work?

I’ve never measured it but, yes, I would guess that’s about right. 1/4-1/2 would be one twist of the waistband tighter
