Love this! I am a high school teacher and purchased this for several of my lunch bunch students. These are several shy students who have been attending this group to find friends. They love making origami and share stories, laugh, and chat while creating. Female and male students seem to really like origami and thought this book was easy to follow.

This was the best craft project I’ve spent money on. I had so much fun with my mother learning how to fold the Crane. The DVD was so helpful... it could have had better views of the folds because they do go a little fast (and some you can’t see) but as long as you have a remote to replay you’re all good. The papers are colorful and plenty of them! I can now do this without the video and I created the cutest baby mobiles for my 10 month old and her daycare. The daycare wants me to come in and demonstrate! It was a lot easier than I expected. You just need patience and determination!

There was a good amount of paper included that seemed to be of pretty decent quality and the patterns were also very attractive. That's about it for the good news. The instructions (if you can even call them that) are abysmal at best and certainly not suited for beginning folders. I was on YouTube within the first 10 minutes of opening the set looking up folds that I was instructed to make, but that were never explained/demonstrated. The instructions also frequently forget vital steps (such as making a tuck in the opposite direction of repeated folds for symmetry) and will simply say "repeat on the other layers."Seriously, just buy some paper and get on YouTube. This book is more intermediate level and I wouldn't recommend starting with it if you're new to folding.

I have been working my way through the book and I do feel that I am getting better. I have made a piano, a drinking cup (made them back 65 years ago when I was a kid), a samurai hat, a carp, a kimono and a masu box. Got stuck on the star box.There is a lovely selection of papers included. It is a great way to keep myself busy.

Bought this for my daughter for Christmas. She has been folding origami for hours with this set. Over all I am very happy with this purchase. Some of the designs are for beginners and some are very advanced. I would buy again.

this was a gift for my 14 year old, and she loves it. as a beginner, she was able to make 5 of the items fairly quickly. The papers are gorgeous. Thumbs up.

I thought I would be good at this because I am usually good at new things if I have written instructions. This is so difficult! I tried easy patterns. The book will say to make a xxxfold but there is not a picture to see how to do it. I thought about throwing it away, but haven't yet. I put in the closet.

Great book for beginners. It has a nice array of easy to medium difficulty projects. Includes a short history of origami with wonderful artwork.Great way to get started in origami.

This is just gorgeous. Such lovely quality paper and the instructions are great. I contacted the seller directly regarding delivery and they were prompt in their response. The only reason I'm marking it down a star is due to delivery time (I'm in the UK)

very simple to understand and with the video backup for the tricky bits it's an ideal beginners book, and set, with paper. I never thought I would be able to make such intricate things, but I can and they look so good too.

Would have liked a few more patterns in this beginners book because my 11yr old quick moved through all the patterns.

Some of the instructions are a little confusing, but there are quite a few pictures throughout the instructions, which really helps. The paper included is great, nice patterns and not too thin.

As expected, received on time.
