Barberries Dried Natural Barberry Fruit, Antioxidants Rich (6 Oz)

I first read about the nutritional power of barberries in Dr Greger's "How Not to Die," including the random piece of information that they are a very effective acne remedy, even at the "dose" of just one T per day. I decided to give them a try because my 17 year old son is happy to try new foods and struggles with acne.The flavor of these is delicious - bright and sour and slightly chewy - they are great as a quick refreshing bite, but even better sprinkled on salads or a grain bowl or anything that needs some brightening up. And, they do seem to help with clearing acne -- they are very powerful antioxidants.I'll keep buying them just because they are a great salad addition, though.

This is very authentic زرشک or Zereshk or BarberriesComes in quite fresh,you may find very few tiny husks but over all great quality and fresh,if you are used to the very dried and slightly ages ones, you need to fry these a bit more if you are making traditional rice based Persian dishes with them.

First off, it is clearly stated to clean and rinse and by that it means to make sure this natural product is free of any debris.Second, one should expect the second highest quality of barberries available on the internet in the US.My wife surprised me with my one of my favorite Persian foods (Tahchin) in the world. She was so satisfied with the quality and taste.

Nice and tart - great taste! Comes in different packaging than photo, it’s a mix of plastic and brown paper (which was fine, but just mentioning it in case!)

I had a recipe that called for barberries and could only find them online. They're a little tart and very tasty. Made the recipe taste great and I like to mix them in my trail mix for a different taste. Really like them but you don't get much for the price.

My original product had a hair in it unfortunately, but I contacted the seller and they shipped me a replacement for free ASAP. I really appreciated it. My boyfriend is Iranian, says the quality is great. Customer service is great too.

These barberries are not good at all, they must be very old, the color instead of being more reddish they are very dark brown and too too Sauer. I would not to buy again, the price is not worth it. I wouldn't recommend them.

I could not believe how good this product is. I usually buy this from Persian markets and I always have to wash them thoroughly. But this was very red and clean and delicious! Will buy again and highly recommend it.
