I love, love, love it!
My 7 year old son: "This Grimlock is awesome. My first one broke on its arm. The arm fell right off with its joint. The second Grimlock I had also broke on the arm. It is sorta like my Sideswipe warriors figure. I love this Grimlock more than Bumblebee and Steeljaw our big transformers. This Grimlock is awesome, it broke at least in a year, the second one broke in a month but other than that I love, love, love this. This is the greatest Grimlock that I could ever have. Even though it breaks easily, my second one I still have. It is very cool.

The toy is great, my son loves it
My 5 year old is obsessed with transformers/rescue bots right now. He is slowly collecting them all. We searched tons of stores before finally ordering this online. The toy is great, my son loves it. It is a little harder to transform than some of the others we have but my son got it down after a couple tries. The shipping took longer than expected but I know that’s not the sellers fault. All in all, super fun toy.

This is a great toy for a child
Reviewed by my ten year old son....This is a great toy for a child, it's very durable and if dropped it will not break. The detail is great, and it has awesome articulation. It balances well unlike most Transformers and is easy to transform from robot to t-rex or other way around. I would recommend ages 7 and up. It's about 5 1/2 inches tall in robot mode and in t-rex mode it's 3 1/2 inches tall. So it's basically the best Grimlock you can get.

Transformation has a learning curve
This is a 10 move transformer toy. The instructions for how to do the transformation are not the easiest to figure out, but a watching a few YouTube vids helped. Now my 4 year old can do the transformation himself, though I had to do it with him several times before he figured it out.Parts, especially the small arms can snap off, but snsp back in again easily.

Smaller than you think!
I disliked the size of the transformer. Compared to the price of $45 with shipping and all I thought the item would be a lot bigger than it actually was!! I didn’t check the measurements before hand and I should have, if I did I would not have bought this toy that literally fits in your hand.

This figure is pretty neat in concept
This figure is pretty neat in concept, but has a couple of flaws. The first being that his stumpy little arms for dinosaur mode don't really go anywhere or get hidden when you convert him to robot mode. So he essentially has two sets of arms. It isn't a big deal, but it does look kinda goofy. The second issue is a bigger deal. The tail pieces that swing up to help form the robot legs are attached by small plastic peg hinges. On the first figure we got, one of the legs broke after only 3 days. My son was very careful playing with the figure, and I even transformed the legs for him most of the time to make sure that we weren't putting undue stress on the hinge, but it just fell off. Amazon did replace the figure, and the second one has so far stayed in one piece, but it is something to be cautious over. All in all, this is a neat Transformer that has a couple of design flaws. I wouldn't recommend it for young kids or those who can't be very careful with their toys.

Nice toy!
Nice transformer but my goodness it is difficult to transform. I do not recommend this for young kids.

low quality and waaay too complex design
disappointed at how flimsy the construction is. very thin, loose, and rattley especially at the hinges in the tail-sections where it looks like the plastic will very soon be wearing right through where it joins with the metal joint, at which point the lower halves of the legs will just fall off, it looks like. VERY difficult even for an adult to transform, not at all intuitive as compared to other transformers figures, and this coming from a dork who grew up on transformers. i would give it 1 star, but my nephew is still able to have fun with it regardless.... so i guess that's worth another star. even though it is only for about 3 minutes at a stretch before he hands it back to me and says, "can you transform him for me?" and then i have to remember how i did it, cuz it is NOT AT ALL obvious. so basically, every fifteen minutes he gets to play with it for about 3 minutes.
