Best remote, so far, for my Nvidia Shield
I have tried a few other remotes for my entertainment system(s), and this one is by far the best! I currently own two of these and use it on a new Smart TV set-up and well as an older TV (IR remote) with a T95Zplus hooked up. This remote is easily programmable using the older IR remotes. My Setup 1: I have a Samsung Smart TV, Nvidia Shield and a Denon Receiver. My Shield is connected to the Receiver and the 'monitor out' HDMI cable goes to the TV. Because the Shield, TV and the Receiver are all sending and receiving HDMI-CEC signals, this remote controls all my devices (the features that I want it to control). Powering on my Shield with this remote, powers on the TV and the Receiver as well. My Receiver then defaults to the Shield signal input. Volume buttons on this remote controls the Receiver volume. Mute button mutes my Receiver. I do not believe the Page +/- buttons do anything on the Shield. I never tried the number keys. Powering off with this remote turns off all my devices. Because I have the HDMI-CEC set-up, this remote effectively controls the shield, primarily. The shield tells the Receiver to power on and the then the Receiver tells the TV to power on. My Set-up 2: I have an older Panasonic Plasma TV with IR remote control. I have a T95Z Plus (android streaming box) hooked up to this TV. This remote works well with the T95z Plus. The only complaint is that the You Tube app does not scroll well, but that is the fault of the streaming box. I programmed the extra keys to power on/off the TV (uses IR), but rarely use that extra button because the streaming box powers on/off the TV via the power button. I also programmed the TV's "Input selection" and "volume up/down" to the extra keys on this remote. They use the IR function on the TV and work flawlessly. This remote: This remote works very well with my Nvidia Shield. However, I do not have 100% of the functionality that the OEM Shield remote has. There is no voice remote feature. Also, typing on the Shield's keyboard does not work. So, I flip this remote and type on that. The Gyroscopic mouse works well. The back-lit key feature also works well. The buttons have a comfortable tactile feel. The entire control wheel rocks you depress one of the arrows. Holding the an arrow allows the screen to roll, which make scrolling fast. Rechargeable battery is a nice feature. Programming the extra keys is also very useful. The Bluetooth range is great. This remote, in addition to the Bluetooth connectivity also has IR connectivity and controls older TVs with IR remotes.

Great value for the performance and multi-functionality
I replaced a high-end professional air mouse that the battery was dead in on my Media Center PC with this low cost alternative. Overall it really is good value, providing mouse, keyboard, and TV control all in a single small device. Had it for quite a while now and still on the first charge. Reliability for mouse movement and button actions has been good. A device in the category is likely to not be perfect, especially at this price point so my 5 stars are for the overall value and would not have given that many for a $200 item. Some things that could be better are the IR programming and the center "OK" button. To get all the IR buttons copied the TV remote and AuviPal were placed on top of a plain white sheet of paper facing each other. The white paper seemed to help the AuviPal get the correct frequency. The mouse feels OK in your hand but I'll occasionally hit the down button on the ring under the OK instead of OK because it is very smooth. My IR buttons are set to TV Power, Live TV (set to computer input on the TV), TV volume down, and TV volume up. The Power IR button replicates another computer remote device so I can turn on the PC (could not get the AuviPal by itself to wake the PC from sleep mode on Windows 7). This setup allows me to power up the computer and TV with computer input activated using a single remote for the first time! Also love the ability to flip it over and enter a password. Definitely recommend you try this one. Lots of choices out there - don't over think it :)

MUST READ THIS REVIEW
FYI: The remote I received is actually BETTER/different than the one pictured in the amazon ad The most prominent (top) pic in the amazon ad shows the keys on keyboard with the primary function (letters) as white & the secondary function (numbers, punctuation marks) as blue. THIS IS NOT THE CASE. The actual remote I received is the last/7th pic (as of this review). The secondary function of the keys is actually white which is a HUGE improvement & makes this HANDS DOWN THE BEST KEYBOARD I've seen. I have included a pic showing the difference between this keyboard (top) & another keyboard with blued colored secondary functions on keys. You cannot make out the secondary functions at all when the keyboard is illuminated if they're colored blue. I think the seller is doing themselves a huge disservice & confusing people with the two different pics in the ad. EVERY BACKLIT KEYBOARD SHOULD BE DESIGNED LIKE THIS ONE...its so simple and effective! OTHER FEATURES I LIKE: The back light is very bright. I like that the light has a toggle to turn it off when you don't need it which will save on battery. The back light stays on for 20 seconds which is much better than another remote I've used that only stayed on 5 seconds (the sweet spot may be somewhere in between...10 or 15 seconds?) FEATURES I DON'T LIKE: -The front side of this remote needs an overhaul in my opinion. The D-pad (directional pad/ok button) needs to be raised or should be totally separate from other controls (in this case the volume & page up/down toggles). I find that while intending to push the D-pad (outer ring of OK button) I OFTEN press the volume or page up/down buttons...it's a very annoying design. -The "0" (zero) button in the numeric keypad is next to the "9" rather than below the "8" which is what everyone is used to so its a bit awkward & will take some getting used to. -I feel they wasted a button including the "IR" program button. I've tried a few of these remotes and this is the first on that had this button. Most are designed where you just hold down the programmable button for a few seconds to put them into "learn" mode. Also, I found programming these buttons a bit difficult as compared to other remotes. -I really would like to see dedicated fast forward/fast reverse buttons in my media remote control. The buttons included here (and most remotes) are to forward/reverse to the next/previous selection. I want to be able to forward/reverse WITHIN the selection (video or audio track) that I am currently using. For instance I hate when I miss a bit of dialogue in a video (YouTube videos as an example) and need to rewind 5-10 seconds. Trying to go back 5 seconds with the mouse is nearly impossible. It would be SO much easier with a dedicated button to do so. -Finally (very minor point here) I think they should have rounded the corners/edges of the remote. It would feel more comfortable in the hand. The current design has hard, very pronounce edges that even have a bit of a lip to them. It just makes it feel wider & less comfortable than other remotes I've used. -This remote has a sensor so it can detect which side is up & disables the bottom side buttons. This is done so buttons (on the bottom) are not pressed unintentionally. So when you hold the remote at a 90 degree angle (on its side) or even upside down the buttons will not work. This can be an issue for me if I'm laying down, reclining in my chair or if I'm typing on the keyboard & holding it upright. I also have a habit of holding the remote on its side when I'm using it. In comparison the Minix Neo A2 Lite does not have this sensor so it works in any position - I just like this better as pressing buttons on the opposite side has never been an issue for me. Although there's much room for improvement (front) I'll be keeping this remote & hopefully get used to using it as is. OVERALL: 4 STARS Keyboard (back) - 5 stars Remote (front) - 3 stars

It's not perfect but it's close so I bought 2 (they work together fine)
I have tried many different options for PC remotes and this is far and away the best I've had. It's a little more expensive but it's worth it. Pros: - The back-lighting is not annoyingly bright but clearly lets you see the buttons in low light to no light conditions - The functions are well thought out and the button placement is perfect - The remote feels good in your hand (many are so boxy that I worry about the younger kids hurting themselves on the edges and corners. - The battery is built-in and recharges via micro-usb cable although a cable is provided and a converter from usb a cable and mini-usb cable is also provided. - Two remotes work fine with two different PCs. I was a little worried that they would use the same Radio Frequency but I'm using two remotes with 2 different laptops that are 4 feet from each other with no issues. Cons: - The back-light on/off button is the only one that you have to double click. I accidentally turned it off and thought the back-light had died. The replacement was sent within days and I realized my mistake when reading the updated instruction sheet that came with the second remote and decided to just go ahead and purchase 2. - Price is higher than the competition (but you get what you pay for).

AuviPal G9 IR learning=Pain in the Butt
So I got this remote for my Linux TV box (kubuntu Linux) The remote works good in Linux, I do like the mouse speed control on the remote but the IR learning sucks badly.🙄 I have a Samsung TV & a Yamaha sound bar. I just need the IR to turn on/off the TV & sound bar as well as turn up/down the VOL on the sound bar. I spent over an HR trying to get this AuviPal G9 to work, other IR learning remotes work with my TV & sound bar but this one does not. I don't know why. All I want is an Air mouse remote with keyboard & IR learning. You would think it would be easy to find something like that, it's not. Everyone is moving to touchpad remotes🤢🤮 UPDATE: I did get the IR learning to work with my Samsung TV & a Yamaha sound bar. To do the IR learning is 🤬crazy tricky!!!! Not as easy as it is with other remotes. So what you need to do is hold down the IR learning button until the green LED is solid green than let it go, then hit the button you want on the old remote, then hit one of the blank buttons & then hit IR learning button to exit. The sound bar was easy to do when I found this out but the TV power button took me 8 times to get it to take. I do wish I could of got the AuviPal G9 pro (it has Voice Assistant) but AuviPal told me they are not getting anymore in & I can't find it anywhere online ☹️

Truly a 4.5 Star Product (At least three weeks in anyway...)
I will update again in the future at some to edit and add ti this review the most important element of any purchase - DURABILITY and RELIABILITY! However at this point (first week of december) i am pretty impressed with this remote. i previously bought two other brands that are pretty decent, so things like the alt button and function button work slightly different from what I'm accustomed too. but no big deal it's truly a small adjustment. i like the sleekness and simplicity of the design in both looks and feels normal. there's so many remotes available (proprietary) today and they get carried away imo when it comes to basic functions that should be included on a standard remote. this product feels 'normal' in one hand, and in two when using the qwerty keyboard. the battery life is fantastic and in theory, will depend on the lifetime of the product itself. but this won't be a problem as it is rechargeable. the cable that charges it fits into any usb outlet, cool points there. my only gripe (small) is that the cable is rather short. this isn't truly a big deal if this isn't an everyday product you'll use: your quality of experience depends on its last charge. so if it will be an everyday item, I'd consider getting a longer chord as the one included is about 12 inches long. this isn't an indictment on its battery life. I've gotten close two weeks before needing to plug the remote in for energy after being completely empty. i make the suggestion because when you do charge it will remain 'within a phone's reach', making your 'netflx' sessions 'comfortably lazy'. im sure one can find a longer chord. it tales the same chord that charges ps4 controllers. Overall after 3 weeks, I'm glad with this purchase

Not working after 5 months.
After 5 months all the thing does is constantly blink all the led lights, including the back lighting until the battery dies. It has no response at all. Tried all the manual reset/force reconnect procedures as per the instructions, tried it on 3 different computers. No change. I let the battery die and as soon as I plugged it in to recharge the lights started blinking uncontrollably again.

Versatile, My favorite Remote.
I just wish It came with more IR buttons!! but it is exactly as advertised and works great for my TV/PC set up. Dongle has great response and IR works perfectly on my HDTV I can easily use the same device on the PC and TV and also comes with the cord if you want to connect the dongle to a Firestick/streaming device. Backlight you can choose to have on or off and you can charge the remote so no need for batteries!! It's made well and it looks cool too definitely my fav.
