I looooove this bag, it's like a modern Indiana Jones bag style. It is well built, and therefore very sturdy. There are two front pockets, one is velcro and the other is a zipper, I like having that option. I purchased both the 14 inch and the 15.9 inch with the intention of returning whichever one didn't work. There is not a significant size difference between the 2. I like them so much that I'm actually giving the extra one to my sister and I'm keeping the 14 inch one. My laptop is just a hair over 14 inches but fits into the 14 inch bag. Without using the sides for water bottles I notice I have a more extra space in the computer compartment. When I use the water bottle on both sides, the computer still fits but it's a little tighter (but I can still get the computer in and out without taking the books out first). It was very important that I be able to fit a water bottle on each side. I went through a lot of bottle shapes and sizes to determine which ones I found worked best. Normal disposable water bottles from the grocery store will fit as well. I still love this bag. Also I found the best water bottles for it are the cheap ones from Ikea. They are hard plastic and have three different colored tops; red top, blue top or green top. I was in the market for a new messenger bag as my old one was ancient and apparently lost. After some hunting around on here I decided to go with this one based on some reviews and the fact that it just looked really nice for the price. I'm very happy to say that it has went beyond my expectations for it. It's a beautiful looking bag, and actually a tad bit darker in shade than the pictures on here. That's good, I think it looks better in person than the stock photos of it. It has a whole lot of space and a ton of pockets and pouches. It also feels very sturdy and well made. It has a decent weight to it, just further adding to that feeling of sturdiness. Finally the straps feel very high quality and durable. The manufacturer even included a thank you card inside of the bag. A small but nice touch. They care about their product and that it lives up to your expectations. And so far for me it most certainly has. Beautiful bag, I'd highly recommend it.

Excellent bag, well constructed and sewed, good quality fabrics. I am in the textile industry and own a fabric conversion business in the North East US. I explored options on Amazon and purchased this bag. I am pleasantly surprised at the quality and durability of the bag. It is comfortable but also packs a lot of organization in a very small amount of space compared to how many and different types of items that you can actually carry in this bag. I used to carry a backpack and absolutely refuse to carry a “Brief Case.” I do not carry my laptop All Of the time but do occasionally-perfect fit and the foam/laminate separator in the main compartment protects and fits my 15.4” HP Laptop PERFECTLY. This has replaced my name brand laptop backpack for a more professional, practical, and truly useful design. Over the shoulder or more formally carried like a brief case, this is the best option on the market and for the price. I highly recommend.

This product is actually really great as a bag. It's big, lots of room, and the side pockets are great for organizing. I've used it for travel, and it's fantastic. However, I've only had it 4 and a half months and already a hole has formed where the a zipper is seamed on for the pocket closest to the body-side (to paint the picture, when the zipper is zipped, there is a hole above the zipper that just allows water/etc to get right in). It's a shame, because the rest of the material is really nice, and the product is overall great. Just, be careful with it, I guess. The zipper tends to snag a little bit, so use caution if it's not immediately closing. I definitely do not abuse this bag, but for the quality of the rest of the bag, you'd expect that the zipper seams would be a bit more secure. If you're pretty gentle and don't carry around a lot, highly recommended. The price is fantastic for what you get. The durability is the only disappointing piece, and from other reviews, it seems the seams are indeed the weak points.

Great bag! Very sturdy. I carry lots of stuff at all times (including about ten reusable grocery bags), and this stores them nicely. Lots of compartments, and they're all usable. I'm a very big guy, and the shoulder strap has a lengthy extension. I can fit it crosswise over my neck and one shoulder, and it will still hang far enough down that everything is immediately available to my hand. That's not easy, because I'm big around, and have a long body and arms. I suppose my only "complaints" would be that I wish the lining was a little more... substantial. It does slip around a bit and I'm not sure how well it will age. Also, I don't particularly care for the one zippered compartment on the front flap being diagonal. It looks stylish, but decreases the functionality by creating an odd-shaped pocket. Definitely a good purchase, and I'd buy it again.

This is a huge, sturdy, almost perfect bag! It is the LARGE bag and I really LOVE this bag except for a couple issues. 1) The front pocket has a slanted zipper for some dumb reason! You lose half the front pocket due to this design. Anything more than a wallet and keys, it wall fall out when you unzip it. 2) The inside liner is not secure. It moves all over the place. Id give this bag a five star but these are two glaring DESIGN issues. If not for these two it would be the perfecct bag. Positives, large and roomy with lots of space. It is canvas and should last a while. The shoulder strap could use some more stitching but I can often carry a bit more weight than normal often. GREAT bag but that front zipper is HORRIBLE!

Holds up perfectly as a messenger bag, lots of storage and fits quite a bit! I'm a bigger guy and the strap expands to fit perfectly. The laptop/tablet pocket is awesome and keeps my tablet safe. The water bottle pockets are on the small side and will probably only fit a standard plastic water bottle. Haven't tested out the water repellant of it, but I highly recommend as its well made, sturdy and works perfect for my needs.
