Nice taste, but better for baking than spreads
While it's not the magical replacement of Nutella (as some might hope), PB&Me powdered hazelnut is a nice tasting option for a shelf stable hazelnut spread or to use as another nut flour in my baking kit.The product is basically the hazelnut version of the powdered peanut butter, same preparation method if you want a butter/spread, just not as smooth and creamy. I actually don't mind the extra grainy texture, it makes snacking more interesting and reminds me of ground hazelnut. The hazelnut powder is less absorbent than peanut powder, so I need to add less water than instructed to get a nice thick (but spreadable) consistency.I actually discovered than this powdered hazelnut works great for baking or microwave mug cakes. Combined with regular flour, oat flour or gluten free flour, it adds a nice flavor and an interesting nutty texture. It's not as great for pancakes/waffles and I can't see this being a good smoothie add-on.Does mixing it with cacao powder and a little bit of liquid yield you Nutella? No, but it's a decently tasty options with a fraction of the calories. I actually mix this and cacao powder in Greek yogurt and enjoy the result a lot.Overall, the flavor is mild, but hazelnuts are quite a bland nut. In recipes, once I add sweeteners, a bit of salt and other ingredients, the flavor is significantly enhanced.I really like that the product has no other ingredients added, I add my own natural non-caloric sweetener and salt when I prepare it. I just wish the brand would also offer an organic option. The jar is quite tiny, but I do appreciate it came filled to the brim.

Great alternative to Nutella
Of course it doesn't taste as good- how could it?!?!? However, if you are looking for a very low sugar, low fat alternative, it's great!

Needs to be tested for purity
I really wanted to like this because I love chocolate hazelnut butter, and I was hoping it was just bitter because it needed more sugar. It is very rare for me to write a bad review, but I personally think this product needs to be tested for purity. It has an off taste that I've never tasted in hazelnuts or chocolate, something along the lines of rubber, plastic or some kind of chemical, and it leaves a bitter aftertaste that is far more bitter and tenacious that anything I've ever experienced from hazelnuts or chocolate, even unsweetened chocolate. I tried sweetening it, and it does not correct the bitterness like it would with chocolate. Aside from the bitter taste, the product actually tastes very good, but even if I could learn to ignore the bitter taste, I'd be afraid to continue eating this for fear of what I might be eating, plus the bitter after taste is very, very unpleasant and quite difficult to get rid of.

PB&Me Powdered Hazelnut Spread
This product tasted so bland that I had no idea that I was eating hazelnuts. Too bad, as I was expecting something really great to add to my ice cream, coffee or other dessert items to make them shine with glorious hazelnut flavor. Instead, I got added fats and oils and no real flavor. DISAPPOINTED. I might want to try toasting the powder somehow to get out the true flavor, but...uh..what a bother. AND a total waste of $9.99 for nuthin'.

Good flavor, weird texture
The mouthfeel of this item is... unsettling. If you plan to mix this into something like a smoothie, it has a very good hazelnut flavor and will work fine.I wouldn't recommend this to be used any other way. Same with the almond version of this brand.

Ignore the bad reviews
For something with so many bad reviews, it sure is sold out. Anyway, I love this stuff. I mix it with whatever milk I am in the mood for and it tastes delicious. I'm waiting for it to be available again so I can order some more.

Grainy, but not so bad
I am a bit unusual when it comes to tastes, but I found this product to be fine for my palate. It's a very subtle flavor--and the texture is a bit grainy when mixed with water-- but it reminds me a bit of a Ferrero Rocher chocolate candy in terms of the flavor profile. Just FYI, those looking for something like Nutella won't be particularly satisfied... I also don't think this product is as tasty as PB2's powdered chocolate peanut butter (which I eat regularly), but I was taking a trip to visit with a relative who is allergic to peanuts and this served well as my supplemental vegan protein source for those few days. Thanks!

Great for Weight Watchers!!
I'm not a peanut butter fan, but I've been using the PB2 peanut butter for a couple of years. I came across this by accident and was so excited. To any Weight Watchers members, it's only 1 Freestyle point per serving! There's no added sugar so if you want it a little sweeter just add a touch of Stevia or Truvia or whatever sweetener you use. This jar was full to the seal and will last forever using two tablespoons at a time.

Ignore the negative reviews
The bad reviews make absolutely no sense. It’s a jar of powdered hazelnuts. Maybe you’ve never eaten a hazelnut before but the VERY SLIGHT “bitter taste” is literally part of the hazelnuts — it’s not because they added some weird chemical. If you’re expecting a jar of Nutella, buy a jar of Nutella. This is good stuff.

No sugar, pure hazelnut goodness.
The taste was great. I use this in my smoothies with cocoa and banana. Yum. Also made my own Nutella with coconut oil and cocoa and maple syrup. Great if you are trying to avoid sugar. I love to backpack and it makes a light weight treat to bring along for to put in your oatmeal for flavor and extra nutrition.

Not the best
I use the powder peanut butter all the time and love it. But this hazelnut one is not the best. It doesn't seem to mix well. I followed the steps on the container and even added more water then recommended and it still doesn't blend well. The texture doesn't become creamy like the peanut butter does. Unsure how to explain it but it's like it stays rough? Like batter that doesn't want to mix. Flavor is ok

Buyer beware: This product is great, but it lists peanuts and other nuts as possible ingredients
I do, in fact, really like this product. I use it in smoothies often. I've also used it to make savory and sweet sauces. It's a great, versatile product. The cost is a bit prohibitive, but it does go further than expected. That being said, please pay extra special attention if you have severe allergies or sensitivities. I bought this product because almonds, cashews and peanuts are things I can't eat, but the packaging lists that other nuts may be present in trace amounts, so those with severe reactions will want to steer clear.

Does not taste anything like Hazelnut spread
I have tried other powdered spreads in the past and found them flavourful. This does not taste anything like hazelnuts and instead tastes like an acrid spread. It's the strangest thing. I threw out the jar and definitely do not recommend it. When discussing with a friend, she had the exact same experience with this product.
