Easy to use and really works!
A feral cat recently adopted me as I was walking through the woods and it just happened to be a long haired cat. I’ve had cats my entire life, but never a long hair. It was spring and he was starting to shed his winter fur, so I needed something desperately to help remove it. The reviews and my friends sold me on this. This brush worked wonders! So easy to use and so effective at removing the dead fur in the undercoat. After a few short periods of use for my cat to get accustomed to this brush, he now loves to be brushed with this brush. I can tell you this brush really works! Without this brush, my cat would be a ball of painful knots. It’s expensive, but well worth it!!

Removes so much stray cat hair!
My British shorthair mix has super dense short hair with a thick undercoat. This thing works so well and gets so much hair off her in such a short time, she looks like a smaller cat after using it! It seems well made and high quality. It basically rakes off the hair before it has a chance to shed everywhere. It’s a good size and I don’t think a larger one or a smaller one would be more convenient for a medium sized cat. It’s comfortable to hold onto and my cat doesn’t really mind it. I honestly can’t think of any downsides or cons to this product.

Amazing for heavy shedders!
I have three cats, so I need a brush that really work, and this one definitely does! The FURminator pulls out an impressive amount of loose hair, leaving their coats soft and shiny while reducing shedding around the house. It’s easy to hold, works quickly, and you can literally see the difference after one session (the hairball proves it!). Pros: removes lots of loose hair, reduces shedding, easy to use, durable, great for long hair cats, leaves coat shiny

Finally found a brush that is up to the battle
I have two domestic shorthair cats and I had lost hope to fight their constant shedding in my house. I have to take allergy pills every day and hairballs are a real thing here. On a recent family trip, my sister-in-law showed me this brush. I was skeptical specially because of the small surface to remove hair so I I decided to brush one of her cats to see it in action. Boy, how pleased I was! Although I had to often remove the turf of hair from the brush, there was undercoat fur floating around in the air! I finished brush her cat and immediately ordered one for myself. Yes, the brush is more on the pricey side but the quality is excellent. It’s comfortable to hold it and the comb goes really further down. My two kitties loved it, one even rolling around and coming back for more. It was gentle on their coat and super efficient. It was easy to clean and no hair mayhem when I finished it. Such a great investment, I’m so pleased!

Effective, but use carefully
Effective, but cuts the fur. I use it sparingly to thin my cats over all coat (volume and length). It does remove 'clumps' and will build a pile quickly, but again realize it is triming (cutting) the hair, so I wouldn't over use. Cat doesn't mind it. He will lay still for it. Actually he is more calmer when it's used, verse his normal detangler/slicker brush. It's a good solid product with a nice weight in the hand. Remember to use the Guard, and retract it when you use it. Done that a couple times, start using it and wonder why I got nothing. Retract cover/guard and it's much more effective 😀 But again, understand this CUTS the fur, so light, limited strokes if you are just using to thin/trim the coat. Hard strokes will cut the coat and possibly your cats skin.

One of the best cat brushes I’ve used!
I’ve bought a lot of cat brushes having owned multiple cats over the past 20 years of my life and this one is by far the best I’ve bought! It really gets all the hairs laying on their top coat, as well as the hairs that are just begging to be brushed in their undercoat. Currently I have two cats- one longhair and one short hair and this brush works great on both. I will say that this brush works best on my shorthair because she’s the one that needs the most brushing.

Comparison between Furminator, Bonza Silicone Brush, and Cat Steam Brush
There are tons of cat brushes out there so I was trying to find something that would work with my cat who sheds SO MUCH that we can make another cat. Now, while I wouldn't mind another cat in the house the personality is lacking hence brushes. Hopefully this review will help people decide which brush will work for their cat. The Furminator without question brushed out the most fur out of the three. It was also the most messy. Unless you mist down your cat or something you will have hair everywhere because it has no static control or anything like that. I also didn't like that the brush had to be cleaned constantly. The part that cleans the brush and pushes the hair forward is pretty unnecessary because you can just pull the hair off no problem unlike the other brushes in this review. I'll be using this on spa days but not as a standard brusher. It left my cats hair soft and smooth so we'll see how it helps long term. The Bonza Silicone brush on the other hand is the lowest level of brushiness in my opinion. If you are looking for something to tidy up your cat that doesn't shed too much and gives a nice massage this brush is the way to go. The silicone statics everything to it really nicely and it gives a good massage that my cat really enjoyed. He purred his way through the whole experience and I like that it fits nicely in your hand as isn't too big. If you want something that will comb out crazy bouts of shedding this isn't the best way to go. It doesn't seem to get in depth enough and too much hair is getting loose around the brush and flying free. It does have a cleaning strainer with it that's really useful since cleaning cat hair out of anything by hand is a pain. Lastly is the Cat Steam Brush. This was actually my favorite of the three although I will be keeping them all since they all are nice just in different ways. This one mists on both a low and high setting which stops all those flyaway hairs. My cat didn't mind the misting although I'm not sure if other cats would. The brush combs them all out nicely and has a push out brush cleaning thing that's really nice. It's method is to keep stuff from flying away while still getting deep into the coat. My cat didn't like the large head at first so I started at the back end and worked forward. He also didn't like it near his face though one he realized that he could rub his chin against it he was all for it. I wish the silicone one had the steaming effect this does but I got some spray that will be coming and I will be combining them to see if it helps. Until then my cat will be doing his darndest to make me another cat and since I can't speak to long term effectiveness for any of them all I can say is that my cat likes them all. In a nutshell: Furminator: use it in a isolated room, possibly with a mask and air vac system lol Bonza Silicone Brush: Great for person and cat 1:1 bonding time and massage with average brushout. Pet Steam Brush: Goes deeper than the Bonza and misting keeps all flyaway hairs from flying away. Bristles go a bit deeper and while the large head may scare some cats the effectiveness is better for really sheddy cats.

The big one is really big, but it works great
I bought this for a cat and it is on me that I chose to order the big one. Trust me, unless you have like a 30 pound cat, go with the smaller one. But, assuming you get the right size, this thing works fantastic. It gets all of the loose fur out quickly. Kitty's fur looks so pretty and sleek when we're done getting all that extra fur off. She loves it. Easy to use, just gently brush them and the teeth catch all the fur that's loose. I feel like it's a little pricey, but then again, it works better than anything else. Keep in mind it doesn't remove mats. It prevents them though since mats form primarily because of loose hair. She also experiences less hair balls when she's grooming herself
